I need some guidance about how to Market my eBook to Educational Material Brokers: private/public/home schools/charter/expeditionary learning..

Hello there,

Any parents, teachers, home-schoolers, educational book publishers, agents, promotors out there who have a clue about who to contact in the arena of educational material brokers? In other words, I need help knowing where to start in the marketing end, to get my book into schools as auxiliary learning digital reading material? When I was a substitute teacher in Santa Fe, New Mexico all the elementary school students had iPads, and the middle and high school kids all had laptops. So that’s the gist of it and the arena I’m aiming for!

I’m writing an educational ebook for kids & young adults; i.e. private/public/charter/home schools/autistic/accelerated/expeditionary learning | 2018-19 year | I need help marketing it to educational material brokers. I am (92%) completed and really excited about it. I haven’t had any council about how to go about doing this: agent, marketing, self-publishing?

It’s designed as a learning tool. My intent is to market it to kids and young adults (home schoolers, autistic/accelerated students, public/private/charter and expeditionary learning schools.

I’ve designed it uniquely as an eBook for digital audiences, I’d never get away with the cost of printing, with almost every page featuring a color image. For the most part the book,

“Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”

delves into the world of energy and information, electromagnetism and systems theory. It’s a tale incorporating a great deal of information about physics and the interconnectedness of life. The subjects evolve as the characters unveil them. It is an interplay of art, science and spirituality.

Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion

As said, there are images on most of the (circa 180) pages, most in color. Many feature my artwork illustrating characters as well as graphs and images with documented sources, which illustrate the subject matter.

Each ‘chapter’ is a page. The table of contents is a searchable index of subjects. The book can  either be read from the beginning to end, or the reader can skip to different subjects; to focus on that topic or contents for a day, or week. I’ve designed the bibliography in google docs to enable the links to be cross-referenced alphabetically.

I have never done this before. I do not have an agent, nor any tentacles in writing groups or marketing channels. I am doing the research, writing, illustration and editing myself. I intended initially to market it myself, however certainly there are people who specialize in specifically connecting educators with educational material – through educational market brokers.

It will be completed by this summer. Now wait, that’s technically 4 weeks. Yes, I could conceivably pull that off!  Yet, the specific market I’m aiming for is the coming academic school year of 2018/2019. I have no income or sources of revenue presently and am in credit debt. That’s why I’m commuting to the library by bicycle every day: in order to have a desk, electricity, WiFi and an extraordinarily pleasant place to work. (I can’t afford to sit in a cafe and purchase an Americano every day to linger and loiter there….it ads up.

I would appreciate any advice or leads. Naturally, detailed information about the contents of the book are readily available. I’m so excited, hardly anyone has even taken a peak at this. Wow, and it’s been at various bursts, my baby. I’m ready to give this little body of work a life of its own and  share it (at a price) with the world. Hey, I share all the information in the blogs I write, for free, giving the information away. I do foresee wanting to do a lot more writing and music, and do have to pay rent and things like that. Presently, I’ve been camping in a room in the state of Rhode Island. I couldn’t stay in France, no VISA presently. I am so excited to hear the responses and really believe in what I’ve been crafting. As I’ve heard other writer’s say, at some points I feel like the book is writing itself.

I look forward to guidance about what my next step is in bringing this to the appropriate recipients; buyers.

False Dichotomy | Separate from Environment | Zero Point Energy | John Searl | Brian O’Leary |Thrive

Each of the blogs I’m posting today concern the concept of a false dichotomy. In this case, that between we humans and what we label as the environment, as if you could separate a man from the water he drinks or the air he breaths. You can’t. A human can’t live more than a few days without water or more than a few minutes without air. So why has it been so easy to separate ourselves from the obvious destruction of the means by which we’ve been (in the northern hemisphere since the industrial revolution) extracting energy from fuel sources on our planet? Because we’ve erroneously believed that our sources were limitless, at first. And then the politics of economics compelled the force of nature to be a force to combat, rather than one to emulate, adore and protect. In the carolkeiter blog I talk of this separation from the standpoint of physical and emotional health, of which personal habits and particularly the food that one ingests, can lead to either health or illness. Incredulously, the American Medical Association and other government health offices as well as the majority of medical schools across the country, do not even offer classes in nutrition, nor do doctors talk about the subject to their patients, as Dr. Michael Gregor points out in his talk. Doctors are seduced by pharmaceutical companies to hand out prescription medicine, yet not to talk about diet, when the food that people consume is the leading cause of death due to ‘impoverished’ diets.

Humans become ensconced in the activities of their immediate environment, without being aware of larger trends. It can take a long time for the collective species to adequately understand a perspective that time and distance obscures from their immediate perspective.

I spoke of Storytelling and Stories-Not-Sold in The Politics of Economics in a former blog, revealing the facts that pivotal discoveries have been made by different individuals at different periods of time in the last century in the United States that were either forcefully suppressed or the inventor’s equipment confiscated, damaged or stolen.

Professor John Searl, The Godfather of free energy / zero point energy science, believes his magnetic generator, the Searl Effect Generator (SEG), can save our planet from economic and environmental disaster.

Magnetic Current Stirs “Electrons” – John Searl’s SEG

“Changing the art of combusting to get energy which is producing pollution, to one that is natural, the absorbing of natural energy, compressing it and then using it and letting it go; you burn nothing in the process…As electrons come out, electrons are being drawn in, so it can never get hot. The flow keeps getting stronger and speeds up. Conventional currents are slow currents that draw in heat; the more current, the more heat. This system is the opposite, the more current you draw, the colder it gets. Electrons enter and move faster and faster until they change their state and become a superconductor.”

Regarded by many as ‘The Godfather’ of free energy or zero point energy science, Professor John Searl believes his magnetic generator, the Searl Effect Generator (SEG), can save our planet from economic and environmental disaster. So, what if he’s telling the truth?

Because my passion is the desire to alert people to the disposition of the plants and animals that inhabit this world whose environments and habitats are being systematically destroyed, this environmental crisis and ecocide that is occurring is mostly due to the heavy consumption that our current political or economic realities rely upon. Continued emphasis on the market place and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) has actually become, as I wrote in this former blog, a Gross Domestic Problem (frankly it’s not domestic at all, but worldwide).

Generating wealth and the continued propagation of products to keep that motor greased, has lead to the degeneration of our environment with pollution and the continued extermination of species who are part of the creation. We have collectively walked away from our connection to the earth and all of its creatures in this treadmill of production and consumption, in which even our concept of happiness and entertainment has become something that is objectified into products, rather than processes.

This dominant matrix of drilling, plowing, extracting, draining and all of the destruction and pollution stemming from the combustion engine and our typical means of extracting energy, is killing everything, and us.

It is not serendipity but eloquent synchronicity of timing that I have come upon one after another mention of the connection of our actions that are devastating our environment, and the fact that there are many cures for diseases and innovations already in the research stages for energy that can be very simply extracted from the space around us, with no delatarious results, side effects or negative fall-out. They are there, but have not been invested in, because of a few individuals and corporations throttling and constricting the information from being freely released to the public. Again, it’s because they have trillions of dollars that they’ve invested.

We have been sort of walking along, following in footsteps of our families and socialized through our education to continue what we’ve learned are the ways to follow, to be an accepted ‘productive’ citizen. We haven’t really questioned this. Often the history and lessons learned get lost, especially in a world in which many people are on a treadmill of continued pursuit of financial demands and time constraints in making ends meet (which continue to grow no matter how financially secure one perceive’s oneself to be).

I bring in the concept of zero point energy, which I first learned about researching my book a few years ago. And now in the last days different sources entirely have brought me to the same focal points. One could say that my whole being has guided me perpetually to this same information, because of the choices I’ve made. I’ve read things in the last week that brought together the concepts of free energy – the energy in the ‘vacuum’ of space everywhere (which is not a vacuum at all), together with the mention of UFO’s and the electromagnetic fields that they operate through and consciousness…and the fact that much of this information is continually suppressed. What? Sounds incongruent, grouping these together.

Well, in fact, the degradation of our environment due to our typical means of extracting energy have been destructive. Yet as I’ve paraphrased this article The Quantum Vacuum: How ‘Empty’ Space is Actually the Seat of the most Violent of Physics’ “Quantum physicists discovered that physical atoms are made up of vortices of energy that are constantly spinning and vibrating, each one radiating its own unique energy signature. This is also known as “the Vacuum” or “The Zero-Point Field.”…This “stuff” within this space can be accessed and used, [which] was experimentally confirmed when The Casimir Effect illustrated zero point or vacuum state energy.[It] predicts that two metal plates close together attract each other due to an imbalance in the quantum fluctuations.

In fact, astronomer, former astronaut, and author of “The Second Coming of Science” and “Exploring Inner and Outer Space,” Brian O’Leary very eloquently talks of these. It is a long video, yet because he is very clever and succinct, not tedious whatsoever. He is very understandable. I happened upon this video today, pulling together and clarifying numerous articles and videos that I’ve watched.

Brian O’Leary Free Energy and New Paradigms In Science

“Gravity is an electromagnetic force, as is consciousness.”

We presently have an alternative to oil, fossil fuel and nuclear power.

O’Leary speaks of his research into the contemporary science of ‘free energy.

O’Leary speaks of his research into this new understanding. It’s all there, this contemporary scene of ‘free energy’. He points out that whereas many people speak of Nikola Teslas’s invention a century ago, he says there’s currently research going on all over the world, particularly in Japan. This technology is already quite realized. He quite gently says that it’s easy to get angry with the people who have wanted to keep the truth of reality in a box, because of their vested interests.

“We presently have an alternative to oil, fossil fuel and nuclear power. The three basic technologies of ‘free energy’ are cold fusion (technique of introducing Hydrogen into a metal lattice), magnetic motors (magnetic wheels with magnets that rotate and the rotary motion creates an interaction with this zero point energy field – the potential energy field that underlies free energy) and solid state (a crystal or specially conditioned magnet that resonates with the zero point field to extract > put energy into the system.” The role reversal in this country – rather than encourage innovation – inventors in the USA have had their work suppressed, alienated, expatriated, or had their well being threatened, devices confiscated. By the fact that there is no coverage whatsoever .0001% of the climate crisis reveals the corpocrisy maneuvering behind the curtain.”

O’Leary mentions in his talk that the theoretical physicist John Archibald Wheeler, claimed that “One coffee cup full of space contains enough potential energy to evaporate all of the earth’s oceans.”

We have an answer to our energy problem, we won’t in the future have to rely on any grid system. It naturally threatens the energy industries and utilities that stand to lose trillions in profit. Brian O’Leary states that it is necessary for us to get off of our drunken oil binge since the losses to the environment due to combustion engines has been enormous.

This will open doors to other forms of research: anti-gravity research and consciousness. Our ability to influence the material world – psychokinesis.

As O’Leary states, there are numerous contemporary inventions of one or another that tap into this free energy. Paramahamsa Tewari’s Space Energy or Free Energy Generator.

Thich Nhat Hanh Awaken from our Illusion of Separateness

Thich Nhat Hanh Awaken from our Illusion of Separateness

excerpted from Thich Nhat Hanh’s Love Letter to the Earth

At this very moment, the Earth is above you, below you, all around you, and even inside you. The Earth is everywhere. You may be used to thinking of the Earth as only the ground beneath your feet. But the water, the sea, the sky, and everything around us comes from the Earth. Everything outside us and everything inside us comes from the Earth. We often forget that the planet we are living on has given us all the elements that make up our bodies. The water in our flesh, our bones, and all the microscopic cells inside our bodies all come from the Earth and are part of the Earth. The Earth is not just the environment we live in. We are the Earth and we are always carrying her within us.

Realizing this, we can see that the Earth is truly alive. We are a living, breathing manifestation of this beautiful and generous planet. Knowing this, we can begin to transform our relationship to the Earth. We can begin to walk differently and to care for her differently. We will fall completely in love with the Earth.

When we are in love with someone or something, there is no separation between ourselves and the person or thing we love. We do whatever we can for them and this brings us great joy and nourishment. That is the relationship each of us can have with the Earth.”

Crisis Among the Palms talks about the Palm Oil ecocide, from the Congo basin to Malaysia to Peru. As a relatively new player on global commodity markets, the industry has quickly grown to rely on global financing to fuel its expansion. So it is once again a narrow minded, expansion for quick profit despite the long term and irreparable losses that are to blame. “Having expanded by millions of hectares a year across the tropics in the past several decades, the palm oil industry is a leading cause of rainforest destruction – and a source of both economic dispossession and wage labor for countless people.”

This I introduced in a former blog https://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2013/11/22/the-truth-earthlings-love-letter-to-the-earth-thich-nhat-hanh-kumi-naidoo-greenpeace-saving-the-earth-from-ourselves-only-after-cree-indians/

We can turn all of this around by informing ourselves and taking actions to demand the implementation of what will bring about a peaceful and thriving revolution of how we operate in society and how we generate energy, transport ourselves, live and work.

The documentary movie Thrive was created by Foster Gamble, bank heir to the multinational and pharmaceutical company Procter & Gamble and his wife Kimberly. He basically stepped aside from the matrix within which he’s ensconced to produce this “unconventional documentary that lifts the veil on what’s REALLY going on in our world by following the money upstream — uncovering the global consolidation of power in nearly every aspect of our lives. Weaving together breakthroughs in science, consciousness and activism. Thrive offers real solutions, empowering us with unprecedented and bold strategies for reclaiming our lives and our future.”

He talks of his inspiration of Buckminster Fuller’s concept of the Vector Equilibrium and of the torus is the underlying structure of the universe. Foster Gamble researched the dynamics of the toroidal energy form and vector equilibrium as primary patterns fundamental to the creation of the universe at all scales. He talks about accessing zero point energy; new energy technology; seeing clean, free energy as a means to transfer the quality of life on this planet. It became clear as he began to follow the money to see why information wasn’t being released, and in the movie he describes the powers that have controlled information and the ways in which we can use this to free ourselves from the paradox of believing that we are separate.

“Who controls the food supply, controls the people;
Who controls the energy, can control whole continents;
Who controls the money, can control the world.”
~Henry Kissinger, 1973

All Life Has Consciousness | Carl Safina | Are Humans Capable of Letting Other Life Continue?

There is Love on Earth Besides Humans

There is Love on Earth Besides Humans

Carl Safina, PhD in ecology, conservationist, writer

Carl Safina, PhD in ecology, conservationist and writer

I am very grateful to have discovered Carl Safina’s work and this TED talk just a day previous to posting this. Tears ran down my cheeks as I watched and listened to this scientist’s portrayal of animals, and of humans. Tears continued to stream from my eyes after I listened to his last words. I am so disappointed and basically frustrated with what humans deem as important.

I was about to write a blog about Borders? Why are Human Beings ‘Not Allowed’ to Walk Around on the Earth? However, to me, putting this concept out there of recognizing the importance of all other life forms besides humans, is far more important than the absurd political scenarios that humans impose on one another. What we are doing to the natural world and to other life forms, with our over-population, degradation of the environment, human-induced global warming and inciting a mass extinction, to me, far outweighs any of the absurd things that humans are doing to each other. Carl Safina does not by any means bypass this subject in his talk. He says, what humans do to other empathetic creatures is also what they do to one another.

Animals, Carl Safina, Empathy, Sympathy, Compassion

Animals Carl Safina Empathy Sympathy Compassion

I felt an urgent need to immediately post this to both blogs. I feel very sorry for those humans who do not feel compassion and awe with nature and all of life. I thank my parents that nature and an appreciation for all life forms was revered. I grew up with National Geographic and Smithsonian magazines in the home, and was curated to think way beyond my immediate vicinity.

I recently lauded friends who regularly inform and urge people to think about the protection of animals and wilderness. I mention this in association with a concept that is part of a new mode of thinking, systems thinking, seeing all life forms as interrelated. Human beings should prioritize protecting all other life forms, rather than destroying them and wiping out their habitats without any consideration whatsoever. The various bloody traditions of various cultures that consider it ‘sport’ to kill wolves, whales, bulls is disgraceful. The massive consumption of cows, pigs, chickens and use of land to feed these animals needs to be stopped. Wiping out wild horses and donkeys and other creatures because some believe that by eating particular speciality foods that they somehow will maintain their health or erections, also are dramatically mis-informed. Creatures penned in horrible conditions, blood baths and slaughters because of tradition, must all be reconsidered. People need to be educated. It begins with all of us communicating to one another.

The concept of actually recognizing that we share the same genetics and similar brains and spinal cords with other creatures perhaps will bring about a different sense of empathy.

It is the Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh who introduces the concept of inter-being; all life is intricately related.

With a PhD in ecology, conservationist and writer Carl Safina has written several books and papers and has studied various species in their habitat. He was invited by Greenpeace to witness the changing climate in the Arctic and the impacts of industrial fishing on the marine environment.

In his TED talk Safina asks:

“What’s going on inside the brains of animals? Can we know what, or if, they’re thinking and feeling? Carl Safina thinks we can. Using discoveries and anecdotes that span ecology, biology and behavioral science, he weaves together stories of whales, wolves, elephants and albatrosses to argue that just as we think, feel, use tools and express emotions, so too do the other creatures – and minds – that share the Earth with us.”

Welcome Human Life with pics of Animals - Shared Lifes in the World

Welcome Human Life with pics of Animals – Shared Lifes in the World

Since humans tend to adorn the rooms of their new born babies with images of the other creatures with which we share our planet, in which every animal of Noah’s Ark is now in mortal danger, instead of asking the question Do animals love us?, We need to ask, Are human beings capable of letting other life continue?

Carl Safina states, “From all I’ve seen, my main conclusion is that at this point in history, nature and human dignity require each other. Where wild places are destroyed, wild animals lost, and the world degraded and polluted, not only is that itself a great loss for the world, but for people in degraded places it becomes almost impossible to maintain a dignified existence.”

This article in the USA Today describes that global warming continues, with each year breaking record temperatures of the previous.”NOAA’s analysis does not include data from the Arctic, while NASA’s does, NOAA climate scientist Deke Arndt said. The Arctic has been warming faster than any part of the world.”

“This announcement should shock no one,” said Lou Leonard of the World Wildlife Fund. “The key question is what we do about it. With the costs of inaction piling up, Washington, D.C., is largely looking the other way. So it is up to a new class of leaders from American businesses, universities, cities and states to pick up the slack.”

Storytelling and Stories-Not-Sold in The Politics of Economics | Systems Theory | Social Commons | Happy Planet Index | feat: Rife, Harari, Capra, McKenna, Brewer, Monbiot

The recent mass shooting in Las Vegas lead me to pursue the alternative press because of various allegations that the mainstream media had a completely different reportage than what had been disclosed from other sources. Once I extracted myself from this subject and came up for air, the winding alt digital path lead me to information I certainly hadn’t heard about in any text books.

By entering into alternative media, we are introduced to information that not surprisingly, is quite different from what the main cultural avenues of information have surmised our history to be. Fortunately, we can see clearly how the various sectors of culture play out – from history books, to learning institutions, to government organizations – when only a few are privy to what stories are told. I mention stories-are-sold, because it comes down to economic censorship. The understanding of a needed systems approach to observing all things, is an emergence of the recognition of what is lacking in a one-sided, atomized, mechanistic and hierarchical view of life; from within which our current cultural myths have developed. And as we embrace the realization that all of life is a shared network, upon which humans have arbitrarily exercised domain by collectively believing in our fictional stories, the concept of a commons – of an intellectual and natural resources heritage shared by all – we will have more of a commitment to protect that which is rightfully ours, and to want to extend and share our abundance and happiness, outside of the domain of pure economics. As this balance shifts, we will see the earth and its inhabitants not as a commodity to be used, but as a paradise to love and protect. And as this moves towards a celebration of autonomy while building on the shared intellectual and spiritual network, we will evolve a new way of valuing all life, information, invention, our selves and our communication and motions on this planet.

Did you know that there was a proven cure for cancer, in the 1930’s? And that news of the man whose discoveries and experiments, which were lauded at the time, fell into silence, suppressed by the politics of economics, or the economics of politics? His name, Dr. Royal Rife was suspended from the history books, just as that of Nikola Tesla, a contemporary of Einstein, whose fantastic inventions and successful discoveries were inconvenient for the narrative of the time.

Royal Rife’s genius was the creation of a multi-faceted (thousands of parts) 200 pound microscope design. He was able to observe intercellular activity for the first time, rivaling current technology, with the exception that his microscopes were able to view live material. “Electron microscopes made today are capable of distinguishing even individual atoms, yet they can not be used to image living cells because the process of viewing with electrons, destroy the samples.”

Royal Raymond Rife was specifically focused on the fact that all life vibrates. He proceeded to do thousands of experiments with the optical microscopes he designed; observing, identifying and testing the resonances of pathogens of different organisms with varying frequencies. His aim was to find the corresponding vibration that would single out a specific pathogen, to eradicate it.

Dr. Royal Rife's Beam Ray Machine

Dr. Royal Rife’s Beam Ray Machine

His experiments in the 1930’s lead him to creating the ‘Beam Ray’, which was proven to effectively eradicate cancer and to cure people of a host of different diseases. He measured and utilized specific frequencies to attack specific pathogens through finding the appropriate resonance. “Rife claimed to have discovered the frequencies which destroyed herpes, polio, spinal meningitis, tetanus, influenza, and many other dangerous, disease-causing organisms. His high success rates with different types of cancer were what particularly brought him a great deal of attention and notoriety. Rife used different optical vibrations which he revealed were able to disintegrate specific pathogens, leaving all others activity within the cell unaltered. There were over 50 infectious diseases that he apparently discovered cures for.”

“The ‘Rife machine’ is an electronic device which emits audio and/or radio waves applied to an individual with the intent of bettering the individual’s health. By finding the proper resonance, Rife was able to shatter the virus, just as a singer can use it to break a wine glass. This is why he called it the Mortal Oscillatory Rate.”

vibration

vibration

It works on the principle of sympathetic vibration and resonance, which states that if there are two similar objects and one of them is vibrating, the other will begin to vibrate as well, even if they are not touching. Seems like people as a group could coordinate their efforts and tackle quite tremendous enterprises! It has been proven that people who meditate in unison, and focus their attention together in coherence, produces a distinctly stronger result than if they act independently.

Here’s a video describing Rife’s work and challenges.

Royal Rife musician, inventor, doctor used frequencies in his microscope to detect and disintegrate, cancer, pathogens

Royal Rife musician, inventor, doctor used frequencies in his microscope to detect and disintegrate cancer and other pathogens

Rife’s work was more or less erased from our modern day awareness, due to the influence of one man in particular, who had come to lead the American Medical Association (founded in 1847), Dr. Morris Fishbein. Fishbein had ulterior motives. Morris Fishbein began running the AMA in 1924, and by 1934 owned all the stock in the company. He used his authoritative position as director of the AMA to crush competition and choose what medical approaches would be funded or whether they would even be acknowledged. Initially, he tried to buy out Rife’s machine and when Rife refused to sell his plans, Fishbein proceeded to destroy his work and then his reputation, stealing his records and physically destroying his machines. He used his position of power to dissolve and eradicate Rife from history, just as Rife has used resonances to eradicate cancer.

History, as the word describes, is a story. And the angle of the story, how the information is conveyed and whether or not it is conveyed, depends on who is telling it.

There was another man with hundreds of inventions whose genius would be purged from history until his name emerged again a century later, Nikola Tesla. Edison’s (DC) direct current rivaled Tesla’s (AC) alternating current. Tesla was a fantastic and copious inventor. Notably, his Tesla coil was able to capture and transmit energy with very basic instruments, capturing it for free, from within the electromagnetic field which permeates the entire planet. Tesla recognized that the space around us, everywhere, is not a vacuum, but filled with energy. However, his inexpensive tools to extract and conduct energy were wiped from the slate of possibility, by those who envisioned establishing a monopoly on generating power. They didn’t want free or inexpensively acquired power, they wanted to charge the public. Similarly, Rife’s machine not only was a demonstrable cure for cancer, but an inexpensive device in which patients needed only stand near the machine for several minutes, every few days. They merely needed to have the frequencies of waves wash over their bodies in a non-invasive and non-toxic manner.

By preventing these inventions from reaching media or scientific evaluation, they were effectively obliterated from public awareness, merely by the dictates of a few people. The art of withholding the story, annihilated competition and allowed their profits to flow.

A little bit later I reference Andreas Weber, a biologist who states

“Nothing is more open-source than DNA.”

Joe Brewer recently wrote this article Why Are Universities Failing Humanity? “This is a time of extreme urgency and need, yet almost no major institution on Earth is mobilizing its capacities to address the scale of our predicaments.” Brewer determined through his years of research that in fact not only is the modern approach to studying information too segmented, with each of the avenues of research partitioned from the others, but what information is made available has to do with funding and who is to gain from distributing this information. “The situation is complicated further by the ways that funding mechanisms like the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health in the United States (and their analogues in other countries) set agendas for which topics will get financial support.” Brewer talks of the ‘disciplinary silos’ that create funnels for learning, teaching, research. Funding or lack of it, have created barriers to integration across domains of knowledge, which impede the convergence of information and awareness necessary to perceive a crises on a global scale.”

The biophysicist Mae-Wan Ho known for her critical views on genetic engineering and evolution, wrote a book called “The Rainbow and the Worm The Physics of Organisms”. She similarly points to the problem of the reductionist, mechanistic standards of science, that overshadow and subjugate knowledge, so that one is only seeing part of the picture. Ho claims that analytical reductionism doesn’t see things in terms of their coherent relationship. One has to look at the whole system; including the biology, physiology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. Brewer agrees, an interdisciplinary systems approach, is what is missing.

In his article, Brewer writes that “Scholars and researchers who seek to address systemic issues at universities must paddle against huge organizational currents, as is well known by anyone seeking to be both an academic and a transdisciplinary researcher. We need to stop selecting students, faculty, and grant proposals within disciplinary boundaries and start framing problems at systemic levels around which coordination is found to be needed for adequately addressing them. This means funding agencies need to be reorganized around systemic issues. Ecological disharmony and extreme inequality have already been named as two high-profile opportunities yet to be capitalized upon; dealing with exponential technological change would be another.”

The path of science and the means of instituting information and knowledge in the Western World for the last several hundred years has been one which separates, defines and isolates one discipline from another. From this one-sided approach is emerging the recognition of a completely different model other than the linear one, that of systems theory.

The book that the physicist Fritjof Capra and biologist Pier Luigi Luisi recently published after years of research, The Systems View of Life A Unifying Vision, echoes the recognition of the need for a holistic manner of viewing life and the world. Their awareness of the clear inadequacies of the standard, linear, prevailing scientific approach steered them to actually create the alternative that was loudly making itself clear.

Capra and Luisi see a systemic conception of life emerging at the forefront of science. “New emphasis has been given to complexity, networks, and patterns of organization, leading to a novel kind of ‘systemic’ thinking.” What they realize is that everything unto itself is a perfectly functioning and self-healing entity, which works cohesively and is integrally a part of the whole fabric with which it interacts and cooperates.

“The Systems Theory defines life of all kinds, as not a distinct entity which can merely be quantitatively measured and classified into a particular domain, but that the very essence of life is a qualitative interconnected network of relationships, an ecological system of relationships between different species.”

I wrote about this upon discovering their work in a former blog https://digesthis.wordpress.com/2016/01/26/the-new-story-sustainability-fritjof-capra-pier-luigi-luisis-systemic-view-cel/

Rather than isolating disciplines, or organisms, or parts of a cell into singular events, recognize that all of these are part of a vibrant network and must be regarded and studied within this context. Similarly, in education, interdisciplinary approaches to complex situations, is a natural emergence of understanding networked relationships. We’ve had plenty of situations within our culture that reveal deliberate blockage of information, to benefit a few. In fact, culture becomes more sophisticated as the insights, observations, understanding and inventions are shared by all, not privatized and turned into commodities. Cities are like neurosynaptic centers, where concentrations of information come together, leading to inventions and exchanges, new levels of understanding. Which will lead to the point of the Commons.

The Israeli historian Yuval Noah Harari in his TED talk, clearly illustrates that human ‘history’ is profoundly and dynamically shaped by the stories that people tell. He mentions that biologically, humans are not terribly different from other species, from fungus to frogs, to chimpanzees. What sets us apart and has allowed homo sapiens to lunge ahead of all other life forms to essentially dominate the planet, is due to our capacity to flexibly cooperate with one another, over large networks. And our capacity to work together is due to our creativity and use of our imagination.

Whatever one imagines, can be created.

Harari states that humans have a dual reality; “They live in an objective reality, but over the centuries have constructed on top of this a second layer of fictional reality; made of fictional entities; like nations, gods, money, corporations. As history unfolded, this fictional reality became more and more powerful. Today, the most powerful forces in the world are these fictional entities.”

George Monbiot has written very often about the challenges of maintaining healthy ecosystems because of the political and economic climate that continually supports large industries (animal, petroleum, agriculture) which disseminate wildlife habitats, destroy environments and lead to more monoculture. http://www.monbiot.com/2017/09/11/how-do-we-get-out-of-this-mess/ In this Monbiot states, “Stories are the means by which we navigate the world. They allow us to interpret its complex and contradictory signals. We all possess a narrative instinct: an innate disposition to listen for an account of who we are and where we stand….Those who tell the stories run the world.

The very survival of rivers and trees, lions and elephants, depends on the decisions and wishes of these fictional entities; like the United States, like Google, like the World Bank, like Palm Oil corporations. Quite brilliantly, Harari says that

“the master storytellers are the big bankers, the finance ministers, the prime ministers.”

“The Burning Paradise: Palm Oil in the Land of the Tree Kangaroo” reveals,
What happened when a giant Korean conglomerate set its eyes on Indonesia’s largest intact rainforest.”

Tree Kangaroos and Birds of Paradise in Papua Losing their habitat to Palm Oil Clearcutting

Tree Kangaroos and Birds of Paradise in Papua Losing their habitat to Palm Oil Clearcutting

Government leaders, finance ministers and corporate executives tell us a very convincing story. And if everyone believes this story, it actually works. Pharmaceutical companies are very slick in their delivery of advertising, with many tentacles in the air waves and a plethora of TV commercials, now surpassing those of the automobile industry. Yet in the case of petroleum corporations, animal or agricultural industries, lumber, palm oil…there’s a distance, and the work that they do is only really witnessed by people whose property is near to the dirty and consuming practices. In the case of Palm Oil companies dismantling and burning up the virgin Rain Forest, very few of us have an inkling of what is really happening in these remote areas, except for through organizations who do the scouting, who trek there, take aerial footage and who risk their lives, in some cases, to get close enough. I rely on the Guardian for example, and more and more alternative press. Like The UTNE READER Propagandopoly: Monopoly as an Ideological Tool and Mongabay, Korean palm oil firm burned large tracts of forestland in Indonesia, NGOs allege and since being informed about the English version of this paper, Le Monde Diplomatique “The century of revolution”

Noam Chomsky stated years ago the concept of Manufacturing Consent: The Political Economy of the Mass Media. These fictional realities generate power because of the fact that they are collectively believed and adhered to.

Yuval Noah Harari brilliantly states that “money is the most successful story ever invented and told by humans; it is the only story everybody believes.”

The ecologist Suzanne Simard discerns through her studies that trees communicate with one another regularly and over vast distances. In Simard’s Ted Talk “How Trees Talk to Each Other, she points out that trees are not competitive, but in fact are super cooperators.

Harari points out that stories that we’ve invented and spread around aren’t necessarily ones that are good for the collective species. “States and Nations are not objective reality, same is true of the economic field. The most important actors in the global economy presently are companies which are legal fictions. Corporations mostly want to make money. And our capitalist system is one built on growth as measured by the Gross Domestic Product. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the healthiest manner of cooperation with the ecosystem of the earth.

Terence Mckenna relates in his talk A Species Addicted

“There is no serious plan to deal with what havoc humans have created with the planet, nature, the other creatures, the diminishing rain forests. Through the propaganda and lies created by our most powerful storytellers, the human race, in an ego-driven manner, is following a culture which is a lie.”

Caitlin Johnstone echoes in her article about feminism in our current political environment, is that the patriarchal history was written by men. “Money is the engine room of the patriarchy. Humans have indeed used our superior neurology to out-survive and out-thrive all other competing organisms, but then we’ve also continued to use it to conquer, kill, exploit and enslave one another throughout the entirety of recorded history, and to decimate the ecosystem which we need to survive. If we end up going extinct due to anthropogenic climate chaos or nuclear armageddon, we will have failed as spectacularly as a species can possibly fail in the extremely short time that we have been here.”

Johnstone says in her article “It Is Evolve Or Die Time” “What few problems we encounter which aren’t man-made (natural disasters, some diseases) could be vastly minimized if our species was pouring all its mental energy and creativity into creating a better world for everyone instead of into economic competition and warfare.”

The journalist Chris Hedges in an interview following his publication in Truthdig September 17, titled The Silencing of Dissent, mentions that the same one-way story embraces media and politics, stemming from the forces of corporate capitalism and proponents of American imperialism. “The utopian ideology of neoliberalism and the primacy of corporate power have branded themselves into the human consciousness as inevitable forms of human progress. And those who have had the say, due to their positions and power, have imposed de facto censorship to shut out critics of unfettered capitalism and imperialism, such as Noam Chomsky or Howard Zinn. This has rippled from politics, into the media and our learning institutions, as well as government agencies such as the American Medical Association, American Diabetes Association and American Institute of Health.”

“Do not significantly alienate those upon whom we depend for money and access!”

In the interview Hedges states, “Those who rise in the organization and hold power are consummate careerists. Their loyalty is to their advancement and the stature and profitability of the institution. With the bankruptcy of the ruling ideology, and the bankruptcy of the American liberal class and the American left, those who hold fast to intellectual depth and an examination of systems of power, including economics, culture and politics, have to be silenced.”

In a former blog I wrote WTF | “What the Health” documentary: America’s Medical Societies Driven by Corpocrisy | More Inconvenient Truths | Culinary Medicine | Farmacy I was describing the What The Health documentary film that uncovered excellent realizations about ‘standard procedure’ covert operations in funding and information withheld. This film is about the collusion of industries in their misinformation to the public about diet and health.

Same theme: information withheld, mis-information provided, which the film makers uncovered as they approached various American government health organizations, who toe-the-line of their sponsors. Therefore, instead of speaking the truth about diet and health, they withhold it. You can watch it here. The industries which use the land’s resources precipitously, wastefully and inefficiently to maintain the beef, pork and dairy industries, are in fact the same industries who paid off these large institutions who claim to be representing facts to provide the public with information about health. Therefore since their sponsors are the very same industries who operate food industries that are unhealthy, the various organizations maintain a deceptive policy.

Terence Mckenna mentions that ironically regardless of the wealth and GDP of the USA, the level of unhappiness is immense, there’s an utterly unhappy ruling class. Yet what has begun to emerge along with the awareness of the need for cooperation and diversification, is that certainly the dictates of capitalism and consumerism are not what bring health, happiness or progress, but are about continued growth for the purposes of profit, without regard to the entire health of the system. Mae-Wan Ho describes in The Communicative and Integrative Biology of her book concept The Rainbow and the Worm, that “life is essentially quantum coherent systems, based primarily on the degree to which the various parts of organisms are able to work autonomously but still remain highly coordinated.” She mentions that going against the grain of the established story, all lead to problems; such as lack of courage in addressing the big questions or to disagree with the mainstream, lack of imagination, lack of funding, too much concentration on molecular nuts and bolts, domination of reductionist biology, too much specialization and lack of interdisciplinary training, lack of appreciation of the beauty of nature. In my opinion, to really understand nature, one needs to be both a romantic poet and artist at heart.”

In George Monbiot’s article in the Guardian, Common Wealth, he asserts that two critical factions are missing in the standard assumption that the two main actors in the economy are the State and the Market. “In fact there are four major economic sectors: the market, the state, the household and the commons.” The household is almost entirely comprised of the work of women. Both market and state receive a massive subsidy from the household: the unpaid labour of parents and other carers, still provided mostly by women. If children were not looked after, fed, taught basic skills at home and taken to school, there would be no economy. And if people who are ill, elderly or have disabilities were not helped and supported by others, the public care bill would break the state. What is critically misconceived, is the concept of the commonwealth.

The vast wealth of the economic elite has accumulated at the expense of the populace, through their seizure of the fourth sector of the economy: the commons.

A commons is neither state nor market. It has three main elements. First a resource, such as land, water, minerals, scientific research, hardware or software. Second, a community of people who have shared and equal rights to this resource, and organise themselves to manage it. Third, the rules, systems and negotiations they develop to sustain it and allocate the benefits.

A true commons is managed not for the accumulation of capital or profit, but for the steady production of prosperity or wellbeing. The commons have been attacked by both state power and capitalism for centuries.

Resources that no one invented or created, or that a large number of people created together, (or in several cases where inventions have been submerged from collective consciousness by being dismissed or disregarded by the powers to censor them at the time), are stolen by those who sniff an opportunity for profit.

Monbiot states that “Enclosure creates inequality. It produces a rentier economy: those who have captured essential resources force everyone else to pay for access. It shatters communities and alienates people from their labour and their surroundings. The ecosystems commoners sustained are liquidated for cash. Inequality, rent, atomisation, alienation, environmental destruction: the loss of the commons has caused or exacerbated many of the afflictions of our age. A commons, unlike state spending, obliges people to work together, to sustain their resources and decide how the income should be used. It gives community life a clear focus. It depends on democracy in its truest form. It destroys inequality. It provides an incentive to protect the living world. It creates, in sum, a Politics of Belonging.”

The German biologist, philosopher and nature writer Andreas Weber recognizes the interconnectedness of humans to nature. In his talk at the conference on “Economics and the Common(s): From Seed Form to Core Paradigm” Weber mentions that though we can maintain aspects of our modus operandi of the age of enlightenment, we need to make a paradigm shift to enlivenment; seeing all life in continuous interrelationship. “In our question of “what is life?”, we need to look beneath the ‘operating system’ engendered by the enlightenment in which things, life, humans are measured according to efficiency, competition and egoistical agents. This approach is cutting things down into blocks, separate parts, into arbitrary entities and dead objects. What is missing is that there are no feelings involved.”

He claims, “we need a new bios, enlivenment; stressing the expressive and experiential qualities of being alive. Instead of looking at nature and life in a causal way, when we see things as they are, they are constantly changing, in an unfolding process of freedom, autonomy and value. Every commons is a material and knowledge commons.”

Nothing is more open-source than DNA.

“The economy of the commons is naturally anti-capitalist. From within a cell to a whole organism, all life is in compartments with its own boundary. However it’s not a wall, but a permeable boundary, in which the inhabitants are continuously interrelating and crystalizing into a whole, a unity. Quantum physics demonstrates that we affect the outcome of the experiment by observing. When we’re talking about the biosphere, ecology, economy, we are always talking about ourselves. The new ism, enlivenment, stresses that we need to recognize and incorporate the fact that we are feeling beings, with living experiences, who wish to feel meaning.”

This functioning, healthy system that has already been operating in Costa Rica, which Jason Hickel describes in “Want to avert the apocalypse? Take lessons from Costa Rica

Hickel points out, “If we want to have any hope of averting catastrophe, we’re going to have to do something about our addiction to growth. This is tricky, because GDP growth is the main policy objective of virtually every government on the planet. It lies at the heart of everything we’ve been told to believe about how the economy should work: that GDP growth is good, that it’s essential to progress. Costa Rica proves that achieving high levels of human wellbeing has very little to do with GDP and almost everything to do with something very different.

Redistribution can be a substitute for growth

Every few years the New Economics Foundation publishes the Happy Planet Indexa measure of progress that looks at life expectancy, wellbeing and equality rather than the narrow metric of GDP, and plots these measures against ecological impact.

Those factors which contribute to health and happiness do not go together with uninhibited growth of the Gross Domestic Product.

The Happy Planet Index measures what matters: sustainable wellbeing for all.

“In this sense, Costa Rica is the most efficient economy on earth: it produces high standards of living with low GDP and minimal pressure on the environment.

Costa Rica is a thorn in the side of orthodox economics. In fact, the part of Costa Rica where people live the longest, happiest lives – the Nicoya Peninsula – is also the poorest, in terms of GDP per capita. Researchers have concluded that Nicoyans do so well not in spite of their “poverty”, but because of it – because their communities, environment and relationships haven’t been ploughed over by industrial expansion. A series of progressive governments started rolling out healthcare, education and social security in the 1940s and expanded these to the whole population from the 50s onward, after abolishing the military and freeing up more resources for social spending. Costa Rica is one of only a few countries in the global south that enjoys robust universalism.”

Happy Planet Index is not about GDP but lower economic footprint

Happy Planet Index is not about GDP but lower economic footprint

According to their homepage “Wealthy Western countries, often seen as the standard of success, do not rank highly on the Happy Planet Index. Instead, several countries in Latin America and the Asia Pacific region lead the way by achieving high life expectancy and wellbeing with much smaller Ecological Footprints. Costa Rica tops the list of countries every time. With a life expectancy of 79.1 years and levels of wellbeing in the top 7% of the world, Costa Rica matches many Scandinavian nations in these areas and neatly outperforms the United States. And it manages all of this with a GDP per capita of only $10,000 (£7,640), less than one fifth that of the US.”

To recognize that all land, ocean, soil, trees, air and plants that we have not created but are part of the earth, which sustains us, is our home to protect. To shift our activities to maintain these benefits and resources; caring, maintaining, learning and providing to equally distribute to all, making this commons something we integrally work towards nurturing and protecting. And the more we advance in education and awareness towards constructing inventions that are the least toxic and most energy efficient, is something that we can all participate in with pride. The stories we tell, can lead us to a very happy and harmonious planet.

Terence McKenna A Species Addicted TV

Terence McKenna A Species Addicted; our addiction to objects which he calls object fetichism.

Why not live the adventure of creating and doing exactly what you love to do, and celebrating that everyone else is as well. None is to be privatized or controlled from an outside source with money trickling to this outside source, but kindled and honored and redistributed among all. With the priority being not to make an economic profit, but to have the best quality outdoor and indoor environments, the best quality of education, an emphasis towards local and diversification. A stress on creativity and autonomy among individuals who pull together, cooperatively sharing access to resources and benefits. With cohesion, respect and harmony and intimate interaction with all of the natural world. All of the living world adds delight and dimension to our beings, as we put our full awareness towards these with empathy and joy, with all of our senses. Hearing wind, birds, sensing moisture or heat, seeing the design of nature, smelling the fragrances of plants. The thought of doing anything that has a negative environmental impact to ruin our environment, would be as obvious as not putting waste on a valued space.

We can do it, collectively, because that is our nature. Homo sapiens thrive when cooperating. Not with heroes or figureheads pandering to the same old forged industrially, financially entangled world. We simply need to keep dynamically spreading our joy through being the best that we can actively be and imagine ourselves to be and to live celebrating this diversity of spirit among ourselves, rather than crushing or suppressing this.

Hazrat Inayat Khan, Resonance

Hazrat Inayat Khan quote Resonance

Incredibly, the first thing I saw when I was triggered to write this blog, was a quote from a Sufi master whose name I was familiar with. Several years ago I participated in a ‘Heart Rhythm Meditation’ course taught by a South African pediatrician at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This meditation practice was influenced inspired by this Sufi musician, mystic, and healer Hazrat Inayat Khan.

“A person does not hear sound only through the ears; he hears sound through every pore of his body. It permeates the entire being, and according to its particular influence either slows or quickens the rhythm of the blood circulation; it either wakens or soothes the nervous system. It arouses a person to greater passions or it calms him by bringing him peace. According to the sound and its influence a certain effect is produced. Sound becomes visible in the form of radiance. This shows that the same energy which goes into the form of sound before being visible is absorbed by the physical body. In that way the physical body recuperates and becomes charged with new magnetism.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan Sufism and the Mysticism of Music, Charlie Sarafan, Infinity

Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan on Sufism and the Mysticism of Music interviewed by Charlie Sarafan for Infinity. Khan speaks of life as a vibration of wave-like patterns, all life having a signature vibration and frequency that can resonate with other life forms. “The tradition of Sufism has been accused of pantheism, as all is considered ‘god’. You can not divide the universe. In as much as something is a fraction of the universe, it has within it the potentiality of all the universe. The origin of all reality is wave-like. Every object in the world has a signature tune. When objects resonate, this is the key to the experience of relationship. One can heal bones by putting them into an electromagnetic field with the same signature vibration.”

What You Don’t Know, Can Hurt You; therefore it’s imperative to read between the lies.

Knowledge is Power

George Monbiot, who consistently extends the risk to actually speak the truth about the environment, and specifically the political and financial obstacles that block change, just wrote this article. Don’t Look Now

Monbiot is bemused that we talk of climate change in such benign terms, when in fact we should be talking about climate breakdown or in my sounds climactic breaks.

George Monbiot writes that “The media avoids the subject of climate breakdown – to do otherwise is to bring the entire infrastructure of thought crashing down.

Batman: Hitting the earth up like a Piñata, for profit.  In this case petroleum, with the resultant climate destruction.

The What The Health documentary film is about the collusion of industries in their misinformation of the public about diet and health, due to profit motives. The industries which use the land’s resources precipitously to maintain the beef, pork and dairy industries, are in fact the same industries which sponsor various American government health organizations, who subsequently toe the line of their sponsors, and withhold the truth. Instead they tout that beef and dairy are good, that there’s no conclusive evidence that diet has AnYThinG to do with health and dis ease, when in fact what you eat has EveRyThinG to do with health of humans, the obvious inhumane and devastating toll on the livestock and the health of the planet’s ecosystems and climate.

What The Health, documentary film, collusion of corporate profits with misinformation, diet and health

Here’s the trailer of the “What The Health” documentary with English Subtitles. Wow, are the filmmakers ever clearly laying out the truth! Medical Symbol, Caduceus

Medical Symbol Caduceus

It appears that a number of the top go-to organizations in the United States whose goal is to eradicate the population’s biggest medical threats – cancer and diabetes – are not following the Hippocratic Oath “In its original form, it requires a new physician to swear, by a number of healing gods, to uphold specific ethical standards.” Rather, they appear to be swayed by ‘corpocrisy’ (my made-up word combining corporate and hypocrisy).
I hadn’t included among the top medical threats ‘climate destruction’, of which the actions of the meat, fish, petroleum and pharmaceutical industries are antecedent and causal, with clear subsequent deleterious results.

hypocrisy definition, pretense of having a virtuous character or moral principles

As revealed from What the Health, The sponsors of the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association are the meat and dairy as well as pharmaceutical industries. Their message promotes misinformation about food and diet. Rather than finding the cause of the diseases they purport they wish to cure,  they are towing the line of their sponsors. In our consumer oriented capitalism paradigm where corporate profit-driven motives rule, buying = profit. Consumer purchasing is the motif which bleeds of hypocrisy. As What the Health discloses, the biggest sponsors of several American health organizations are the very industries that most impact the climate, and the health of population. These meat and dairy industries sway their message dramatically away from the truth about diet, with the intent to mislead the public.

The sponsors of the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association are the meat and dairy as well as pharmaceutical industries. Their message promotes misinformation about food and diet, for profit motives rather than finding the cause of the disease and curing it.

The What The Health documentary drives at how an entire population is mislead, by the health organizations themselves, in collusion with the government and the meat and derry industries. The filmmakers in their relentless research, ultimately uncover that the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association promote ‘diets’ on their websites which feature the very foods that cause the diseases which they purport their aim is to cure. As they press further, they discover that the biggest sponsors for these top government health agencies are the industries selling the food, that causes the very illness they aim to study. And the recipes they display on their websites espouse what will profit their sponsors.

The role of the pharmaceutical industry, which reaps in trillions of dollars, is not to eradicate or prevent the illness, but to treat the symptoms with and endless cocktail of pills. These little fixes keep the patients’ sick enough, to continue to adhere to taking their prescribed medications.

The messages of the medical societies who toe the line of their sponsors, the – meat, derry and pharmaceutical industries – assure continued profits for doctors, the healthcare profession, hospitals and the cattle, pig, fish and agricultural industries which support these as well as the pharmaceutical companies who bank on illness, not health.

Among the facts the film discloses, is the risks of processed meat and further on dairy, linked to cancer and diabetes.

Processed Meat direct link to increasing risk of colorectal Cancer

Processed Meat has direct link to increasing risk of colorectal Cancer

The film is a sequel to “Cowspiracy”, which was created by the same people; filmmaker Kip Andersen and videographer Keegan Kuhn. With the backing of producer Joaquin Phoenix, this documentary allows the viewer to penetrate a number of degrees further into the looking glass.

Cowspiracy points out the caustic environmental effects of the agricultural feedstock, livestock and dairy industries. “The amount of water, land and fuel used for differing diets varies greatly…Taking into consideration that 1lb of beef requires upwards of 2500 gallons of water to produce compared to only 25 gallons for 1lb of wheat, the water footprint of a person consuming a high meat diet could be 100x greater than that of a person consuming only plant foods.”

conspiracy definition

We’ve perhaps overused the word conspiracy to the point that it becomes a benign term referring to ideas that should be dismissed because they are awash in backwash and hogwash. However, when looking at its true definition, conspiracy refers to a “treacherous or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons”.

People who are not doing what they say, or saying what they mean.

A number of years ago I jumped out of my seat with excitement when an in-depth news reporting tv show “60 Minutes”, featured a story about Tulane University as the first medical school in the United States to offer mandatory cooking classes for first year medical students. Recognizing that good nutrition and diet is absolutely relevant to health, they figured that teaching medical students about food, nutrition and cooking, will allow them to authentically educate and inform their patients.

Former Vice President Al Gore attempted to educate the public 20 + years ago with his documentary entitled the Inconvenient Truth. Post the COP21 in Paris and attempts to reach an accord about the Climate, he released more recently, An Inconvenient Sequel.

His sequel just came out.

Many, many social, environmental and political activist groups along with world environmental and animal organizations continually use their talents and research to inform the public. What we need now are a buildup of CCC’s, Climate Crisis Cooperatives. People working together in all different capacities to grow local, buy local, and work towards renewable energy and transport.

Changing one’s diet away from ingesting meat and dairy with its inherent carcinogenic properties, can effectively reduce weight, diminish fat levels in the blood (lower cholesterol) and give people the chance to reduce to completely alleviate the need to take any pill at all.

Tulane University proactively paved the path of culinary medicine, “Scalpel or spatula? Medical students have new required cooking course

The subject of Culinary Medicine has since been evolving.

Other schools have since followed. Culinary Medicine: Teaching the importance of nutrition in medical school Wow, this is an article about Penn State University jointly with the Hershey Medical Center, which are in the vicinity of my home town in Pennsylvania, cool.

As mentioned in a former blog, https://digesthis.wordpress.com/2015/10/27/health-stretching-exercising-the-body-and-mind-farmacy/, a medical doctor, Dr. Weiss, stopped his practice to create a ‘farmacy’ cooperative in the state of New Jersey.

Dr. Weiss Ethos Health Farmacy

In other words, the healthiest way to go by far, is to eat a vegetarian, and particularly vegan diet (meat minus dairy). This in itself will clear up a person’s ‘system’ so that they go to the source of the problem (the inflammation coming from eating the wrong stuff (meat and dairy) and then not having to take a cocktail of pills, which never go after the source, but sort of stabilize the illness, and payments, indefinitely.

The best advice that keeps reappearing, is to continue to think globally and act locally. The more people use their own hands, words and mouths to grow locally and buy locally, and educate themselves through actively engaging in experimental actions and changing their diets and habits towards healthy ones, the more we will adaptively change our lives to exist in harmony with our earth and its creatures.

$ Exxon’s Knew about Global Warming in 70’s $ Covered It up to Continue Their Exploits $

350.org just sent out a post to facilitate taking action and telling your elected leaders to hold Exxon accountable. “Two Harvard researchers just published a peer-reviewed study showing that Exxon knew about global warming as early as the 1970s but funded an aggressive misinformation campaign to delay any climate action.” The study is a systematic documentation of ExCon‘s coverup.

This knowing desecration, with conscious intent, is despicable!

Here’s an article on Vox, updated by David Roberts.Exxon researched climate science. Understood it. And misled the public.

Exxon’s denigration of resources and planetary health, oil leaking and spoiling the planet. Exxon has blood on their hands.

Exxon’s denigration of resources and planetary health, oil leaking and spoiling the planet. Exxon has blood on their hands.

Hold Exxon accountable. Tell your State’s Attorney General: Investigate Exxon.

We have thousands of young men of color in jail because of stupid things, jailed, beaten, killed, and immigrants, people of color, rounded up to be deported, who are in fact hard working, and merely want to work.

In the meantime, these rich white men in suits are getting away with murder, cultural genocide, destruction of habitat, pollution of resources, precipitating the extinction of creatures who were here before humans, and precariously putting the balance of life on the planet at risk.

IT IS TIME TO CHANGE THE WAY YOU THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS. THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES TO OIL. THERE ARE ALTERNATIVES TO WAR AND THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX THAT IS CHOOSING WHAT INFORMATION WE RECEIVE AND WHAT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS ARE ELECTED.

Hold Exxon accountable. Tell your State’s Attorney General: Investigate Exxon.

I thank all of the environmental, social, ecological groups who serve as watch dogs and educate the rest of us, but somehow, i think something much more brilliant has to take place to begin lighting up the whole world to working together. If we are the people – in a Democracy – choosing our leaders, then we should have the military industrial complex working with us, not in militarized suits, against us. Naturally, this last sentence, makes no sense, as people meeting together one-on-one, and working together in pleasant conditions side-by-side, will be smiling, not firing, at one another.

Addendum: Scalable Universe | Powers X 10 | Infinite Hierarchical Nesting of Matter

In April of 2012 I wrote about the Scalable Universe and the Powers of 10.

I knew there was a significant aspect of this blog missing, yet didn’t grasp what it was until the other day while researching for my eBook. I came upon the subject and realized that this was specifically what was missing. This added dimension describes the similarities of matter in space, in its trajectory, on different scales. There’s a name for this concept, the Infinite Hierarchical Nesting of Matter written by the Russian physicist, Sergey Fedosin. It’s a cosmological framework suggesting that matter can be divided or reduced infinitely, as opposed to atomism. It refutes, by definition, not only that matter can be divided, but even the concept of the big bang, that there was ‘a beginning’. Instead, this theory suggests that all matter has always been in existence, it merely changes form.

Hoag’s object – an atypical ring galaxy- analogous to hydrogen atom in macrocosm

“The paradigm suggests that there are discrete levels of matter in which at each level or scale of matter (atomic, stellar, galactic) there are similar patterns of interrelationships, form and dynamics. In this case a neutron star contains about Φ = 1.62•10 57 nucleons, and by induction it can be assumed that the same quantum particles are contained in the nucleon.”

As I read further, I saw that various great thinkers and schools of thought throughout human history have discerned that this is so, through observing nature.

The funny thing that happened in the last days, which lead to a big ‘ah ha’ moment was when was sitting at a cafe continuing to work on this blog, I noticed a flurry of activity as a shop owner in a clothing store arrived, opened his store and soon after two families arrived. Then a young boy walked out with his new t-shirt on, with a design pretty close to the famous Escher of the stairs appearing to rise in different directions enmeshed in the same space, clearly not following our notions of gravity.

Inception, Godel Escher and Bach

Inception Godel Escher and Bach

Sitting with my laptop, this sparked me to look up a book I purchased years ago (and haven’t read yet) by Douglas Hofstadter “Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid” because this image was associated with the book cover.

The following day, as I further investigated the subject of Infinite Hierarchical Nesting, I was going into this ‘rabbit hole’ of connections as happens with the internet; reading information on one page, then clicking on a link within it, reading that information…I went from ‘Similarities of Matter’ and then into ‘Scale Dimension’ where within this page -VOILA – was this obvious Escher image. What I hadn’t realized was that this book is intertwined with the subject matter of the hierarchical nesting of matter and its similarities at different scales.

I can not pretend to understand the mathematical proofs, nor even the symbology, although I just discovered a quite useful site, a
Glossary of Symbols, providing all of the symbols of physics listed alphabetically.

What I intuited was that there appears to be not only very similar constructions of matter as it grows into forms, both at the microscopic and macroscopic level, but as well, that the relationship of matter such as distances between interrelated parts, in differing relative sizes and speeds, from the microscopical world of sub-atomic particles and the relative distance of an electrons or protons to the nucleus, all the way to planets in relationship to their sun, the distance of stars in relationship to one another in a galaxy, and from one galaxy to another are similar.fractal holography, similarity different scales

the Hierarchy from the Planck to Hubble Scale

the Hierarchy from the Planck to Hubble Scale

Of course, I wouldn’t have thought of this had I not been exposed to the information regarding the enormous relative distance between electrons and protons in a cell. In which the electron is attracted to the nucleus by the “electromagnetic force”. The electron would on average be a bit over 10 miles away from the proton given the scale from the question details.

This science teacher gives a good analogy describing the sizes of protons and electrons relative to the nucleus of an atom, in terms we can perceive.

I just discovered this impressive chart which shows these relative distances in numbers. http://www.physicsoftheuniverse.com/numbers.html

I was already curious about the nature of life, but particularly became intrigued with the idea of similarities.

I had a dream once which made such an impression that it became pivotal in my curiosity. In the dream,

a man pointed to the spiraling tail of a seahorse, revealing that within this form is the essence of everything in the universe.

Years later I wrote about it in this blog.

https://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2011/04/14/holograms-of-meaning-consciousness-frequency-shift/

This dream and the reference to the tail of the seahorse introduced me to the concepts of the Fibonacci sequence of numbers, the Fibonacci spiral and the Golden Ratio and the omnipresent forms in nature that exemplify this spiraling form in their movement and growth. It is observable in both plants and animals and present in the microscopic world in the way that matter is structured (from DNA to subatomic particles) to the patterns of weather systems in the spiraling of cloud patterns all the way to spiraling galaxies.

Here is a detailed lecture in physics given by an MIT mathematician Gödel, Escher, Bach – Lecture 1: Part 1 of 7 showing the astronomically high numbers of these relationships between matter on different scales.

This image below has only become available to humankind with the introduction of the Hubble telescope created by Edwin Hubble, a physicist who discerned in – Hubble’s Law that the universe is expanding (and is considered the basis for deducting that the universe started with a ‘big bang’). This telescope is strong enough to see beyond our galaxy of stars within which our sun and solar system move through, and is able to capture segments of ‘space’, in which every bright image you see represents an entire galaxy. NASA and CA Institute of Technology introduce the universe to the public in this feature ‘Solar System, Galaxy, Universe – What’s the Difference?

Infinite Hierarchical Nesting of Matter demonstrates a living example throughout the universe of the abstract object, the fractal, in mathematical terms, which has a self-similar pattern at every scale.

To appreciate the “human world” versus everything else, the 10 X power of 62 in a spiral image shows the expansion of 62 orders of magnitude (1062), so imagine each 10 as a level, where the one in red will be the 1 meter mark, which is approximately the human scale.

Scale of the Universe, x10, 62ndPower

Scale of the Universe x10 to the 62ndPower

It’s probably safe to say that all direct human experience occurs within 2 orders of magnitude smaller and larger than our bodies (by “direct”, I mean observation based on senses). Beyond that range, technology is required to visualize things, whether its a microscope, satellite imagery or telescopes.

The most recent “Flashy” version demonstrating this was achieved and produced by twin 14 year-old brothers for their 9th grade class. “The Scale of The Universe 2”.

As one jumps with a 10 X leap, there’s an apparent great deal of activity to emptiness.

Democracy is Dying and it's Startling, Few Worried, Paul Mason

Democracy is Dying and it’s Startling How Few are Worried Paul Mason

I have been in France just under a month. I found out not even two hours ago through a conversation on skype with my sister who lives in England and France, that during the time we were back in the United States of Apathy, that ICE (i hadn’t know what this was, i thought ICE was simply In Case of Emergency) However I learned from my sister today about the other version. (ICE) Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

I hadn’t known what ICE meant, I had to google it. http://www.newsweek.com/immigration-immigration-and-customs-enforcement-ice-donald-trump-628896

ICE had come into the town of Lebanon, PA into a catholic church on a Sunday, and rounded up dozens of people, probably mostly men, of darker skin, and packed them into a van to take to another town to sit in jail, awaiting trial, perhaps a 1 or 2 year wait.

Newsweek, ICE raid, Risk, Deportation

Newsweek ICE raid Who Is At Risk Deportation.

While visiting the USA just a month ago, my sister befriended a guy from El Salvador who stayed in the motel room next to her. He’s been in the USA for 25 years, has a green card and has several kids and a wife in Virginia. Presently he’s been in central Pennsylvania working in construction to support his family. He was one of the people rounded up and loaded into this van. My sister attempted to stay with him, holding his hand, went into the van, and the police officer warned her with a tone of reproach that she better get the hell out of there if she knows what’s good for her.

The El Salvadoran gave my sister his phone and the number of his wife to call in VA. My sister said that his wife was screaming when she heard the news. Her life support money-earner for herself and her kids, disposed of.

I knew nothing of this. I was just reading headlines last night about 500 people in Turkey under questioning or worse, for attempting to overthrow a dictator. I know nothing of this Turkey official and hadn’t read the story yet.

Nearly 500 in court Turkey Coup Attempt 2016 CNN

Yet I thought to myself, can not the world step in and change this situation? That was before I knew what was happening in the neighboring town while I was sleeping on a Sunday morning. WTF.

What can we do? Sit back, crack open a beer and hang out with friends, watch a TV show, get ready to arrange the schedule of picking up the kids from their practice…..when before our eyes a military dictatorship fascist embarrassment of a President is enforcing this sweep of people across the country who have been living and working here, taking jobs that Americans haven’t wanted, and who were brought here to do the dirty jobs that help our system to run efficiently, are suddenly afraid to leave their homes to go to the grocery store?

Stop Swooning over Justin Trudeau Climate Disaster Bill McKibben

McKibben writes for the Guardian, “Yes, 173bn barrels is indeed the estimate for recoverable oil in the tar sands. So let’s do some math. If Canada digs up that oil and sells it to people to burn, it will produce, according to the math whizzes at Oil Change International, 30% of the carbon necessary to take us past the 1.5C target that Canada helped set in Paris.

That is to say, Canada, which represents one half of 1% of the planet’s population, is claiming the right to sell the oil that will use up a third of the earth’s remaining carbon budget. Trump is a creep and a danger and unpleasant to look at, but at least he’s not a stunning hypocrite.”

Out of Wreckage, A New Politics, Age of Crisis, George Monbiot

Out of the Wreckage A New Politics for an Age of Crisis George Monbiot

Monbiot writes, “A toxic ideology rules the world – of extreme competition and individualism. It misrepresents human nature, destroying hope and common purpose. Only a positive vision can replace it, a new story that re-engages people in politics and lights a path to a better world.”

What are we going to do?

Immigrants from Syria and other parts of the world, war/climate immigrants are escaping deplorable situations to come to the West, which has been living amply, to be treated with hostility and turned away with barbwire. Black market money to stuff people on rickety over-loaded boats, taking peoples’ life savings, to flee situations, only to find that the rest of the world is not helping to organize their safe transport.

This is very, very wrong. We can use the money from the enormous profits from banks, international corporations who make millions and billions in profit, to set up communities, and renewable energy enterprises to re-esatablish safe havens.

This is not right. We can’t read news and do nothing like it isn’t our problem. In some countries people are having 12 to 16 babies. A large part of the problem of GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE IS due to over-population. We are sucking up the soil, destroying habitats of other animals who have a right to life.

Humans need to be accountable.

We need to be accountable for what is happening ALL OVER THE WORLD.

We Are Humanity Film, Jarawa documentary

We Are Humanity Film Jarawa documentary

We need to intercept. I’m sorry, but we need to educate and infiltrate, not remain passive, saying it’s not my problem. Not my problem if some people are cruel to other humans or animals or their actions are knowingly or unknowingly destroying the habitat and polluting some creatures’ environment.

I don’t think any living being can just sit back and let all this happen without having a conscience and wanting to help.

I don’t know where to begin, except for expressing this. I think the world needs leaders who will actually step in and shut Trump and other dictators down. People can divest – take their money out of banks and institutions that support dirty energy and dirty politics. There are numerous ways that people working together could SHUT DOWN OPERATIONS AS THEY ARE through organized actions like; those working in public transportation or truck drivers to not work for a day, or three…We can all work together, educate one another, demand new structures and create them together, IMMEDIATELY.

There are plenty of people with the wisdom and insights and contacts to know how to lead and guide a worldwide REVOLUTION. Not a violent one, a movement with people stepping out of their routines and giving a little time and effort and action to make their voice heard. We can’t let more dictators destroy peoples lives. We can’t let peoples religious beliefs just allow people to pop out 13 babies and pretend that it’s okay. We live in one world, one with limited resources. I refuse to just take on business as usual, and pretend that it’s okay for Mr. Orangehead Chump to push his grey suits around and whimsical notions of what he thinks needs to happen. It’s time for the fucking world intelligence, artists, teachers, scientists and leaders to step in. I still have to read about what’s happening in Turkey, or Venezuela, because I can’t keep up with all of it, but it just IS NOT OKAY ANYMORE, to think that “It’s not here next to me in my community, so it’s not my problem.” IT IS ALL OF OUR PROBLEM. WE NEED LEADERS WHO CAN STEP IN AND INTERCEPT, AGENCIES TO EDUCATE, GUIDE.

Marketing my own eBook > Thinking it appropriate as an auxiliary learning tool for Charter High Schools

I believe this eBook will build enthusiasm and intrigue for multiple subjects, It is a science reference book, cloaked in a science fantasy adventure; replete with real science and resplendent illustrations; with graphs, charts and links for further investigation.

Entitled,“Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”, it is best suited for high school students and accelerated middle schoolers. I believe it will entice kids to learn about a multitude of different subjects, augment the schools academic curriculum.

Here’ s the trailer: https://spinonmatter.carbonmade.com/projects/4800092

Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion

Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion

I just decided to post this letter of introduction which I’m sending to Charter Schools, to each of my blogs, since perhaps someone who’s involved in education, eBook marketing and publishing, with an affiliation with Charter Schools or knows-how in marketing an educational eBook, to provide me with advice or send someone my way!

It’s not finished, but I thought I’d start with the back-end, or front-end, getting it out there.

…I’m looking for the appropriate person/department (academic materials, material acquisition) to market my eBook, which I believe will be of interest to students as an auxiliary learning tool.

This science fantasy adventure involves a spiritual quest (no religious affiliation), full of art and science. The adventure involves the quest of a young woman and the characters she meets in her journey, into an upside-down world. Not really upside down, but a place affected by electromagnetism that has lower gravity levels as one climbs to this place. The people there, where the main character is journeying to, have a correspondingly intrinsic capacity of transparent thought. They are conscious of each others’ thoughts and consequently incapable of telling lies. Yet most of the story takes place as Adora journeys there – as there could be sequels!

Frankly, as of June 1st (almost two weeks since posting this), after editing and moving around information as well as researching and editing bibliography sources, the information below has been updated, and still is no longer current! Nevertheless, you get the gist of the contents! I’ve been working hard within a strict time limit – a really good thing.

Here are the first two pages of the Table of Contents (subject to change) but giving you a gist of the contents.

1st page Table of Contents

1st page Table of Contents

2nd page Table of Contents

2nd page Table of Contents

The approximately 150 page eBook (Completion end of June, 2017), is designed to be read from beginning to end, or to be read in segments. Almost every page introduces a particular subject; including graphs, charts and links to further investigation of that topic. The online Table of Contents and Bibliography allow the reader to choose from various educational subjects, ranging from biology, climatology, and geography to physics, These scientific topics of inquiry are introduced as they arise in the story; with the inference that these hypothetical events in a fantastical environment, could actually transpire.

Here are a few pages of the bibliography, also subject to change. I’m using google docs in order to also alphabetize the bibliography by subject.

Bibliography created in google docs to feature alphabetical listing by subject.

Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion has a plethora of art accompanying the science links, providing the reader with the capability to further investigate a topic. It is a colorful and refreshing learning tool for students and adults. The eBook is a stepping stone of intrigue for subsequent exploration into a multitude of scientific topics.

I’m an independent contractor who has been writing two blogs since 2009, I’m particularly interested in environmental sustainability, renewable energy, (DIY) do-it-yourself practices to reduce one’s carbon footprint, reinvesting in the community and especially the topics of wildlife and animal habitat preservation. I participated in a 2 week educational forum about the environment in Paris, during the COP21 Climate Talks in Paris, http://www.placetob.org/en/ As a writer, artist, musician and composer, I have no umbrella organization presently supporting me financially. I welcome any suggestions you may have regarding the eBook world of publishing, as I have yet to approach any publishers. I can provide you with additional sections of the book to view its layout and presentation.
