Introduction to my book “Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”

Introduction

http://spinonmatter.carbonmade.com/projects/4800092#1

Though this tale is fiction, the book is woven throughout with supporting factual theories, that emerge as the story evolves. This non-fiction evidence is laced with science; biology, geology, cosmology and physics, which substantiates how this theoretical world can exist. The scientific basis of this book with its substantial bibliography to allow the reader for further exploration of the topic, is proof of how this world which the characters encounter, can exist at all. I invite you on this intellectual and spiritual adventure.

As the writers of “The Universe StoryBrian Swimme and Thomas Berry indicate. All of the energy of the entire universe today was present in the initial Flaring Forth. And though no carbon-based life or stabilized forms of matter that we see today could have lasted for even a fraction of an instant during this, it was the birth of time and space, from which all creation is intricately related.

The authors mention the evolution of the human species up to the present, stating in their prologue: “The dominant entity that emerged was not any particular nation-state but the multi-national corporation. These new institutions directed vast scientific, technological, financial and bureaucratic powers toward controlling Earth processes for the benefit of the human economy. By the end of the twentieth century, the destruction left by the wars between nations was dwarfed in significance by the destruction of the natural systems by industrial plunder. In geological terms, human activities in the twentieth century ended the sixty-seven-million-year venture called the Cenozoic era. … Th future of Earth’s community rests in significant ways upon the decisions to be made by the humans who have inserted themselves so deeply into even the genetic codes of Earth’s process. The future will be worked out in the tensions between those committed to the Technozoic, a future of increased exploitation of Earth as resource, all for the benefit of humans, and those committed to the Ecozoic, a new mode of human-Earth relations, one where the well-being of the entire Earth community is the primary concern.”

Band of Sisters | Universe Story | Ecotheology

A few weeks ago, I decided to do an impromptu viewing of a documentary film, presented as part of a colloquium course at a local college. I attended the screening of the Band of Sisters made by Mary Fishman, who was there in person to answer questions from the audience following the film.

Catholic Nuns, USA, Band of Sisters

Remarkable Journey of Catholic Nuns in the USA Band of Sisters

I wasn’t persuaded to go for religious reasons, but for educational ones. I learned that some Catholic nuns in the United States have been doing actions that have been really bucking the system. They’ve rolled up their sleeves and dealt directly with some populations that some find unsavory. This has caused some self-proclaimed religious people to shudder. The nuns have literally had to go through a lot of obstacles – including the Church itself – to accomplish what they’ve been doing. They’ve been welcomed with opened arms by the populations on the fringes of society whom they’ve been helping and healing; including gays, lesbians, the impoverished and the imprisoned.

What caused me to almost fall out of my chair and/or jump for joy in my amazement and applause, was one of the subjects brought up in the film, the Universe Story. A completely divergent way of viewing ‘creation’, the Universe Story extends beyond the dogmas that have been consecrated for thousands of years about how the Earth and Man were created. All the doctrines dictated by the Vatican and most churches in general, have held to the same track. This rather disparate point of view percolating among some of the nuns and other theological figures, was explored in the film. It is so off the beaten track. It’s not embracing the image of heaven and hell, with earth in between…but extending out to the entire cosmos – basically stating that from the earth, to man and woman to the ladybug, we are all part of the same atomic structure and ALL PART OF THE SAME FABRIC.

Mind, Psyche, Spirit, The Universe Story, Brian Swimme, Thomas Berry

“The Universe Story” by Brian Swimme & Thomas Berry unites science and the humanities in a dramatic exploration of the unfolding of the universe, humanity’s evolving place in the cosmos and the boundless possibilities for our future.

The Universe Story or The Cosmic story are interchangeable titles describing the same concept of The New Story. This video link is narrated by Brian Swimme, the co author of The Universe Story. Swim states that “We have discovered such a tremendous amount of knowledge about the universe in the last 100 years; more than we have known during the entire history of human development. Our way forward, is to begin to formulate a new story, so that we can live in a way that is coherent with our universe as we have come to know it.”

Thomas Berry was a Catholic priest, cultural historian and ecotheologian, who called himself an ‘Earth Scholar’. In terms of ecospirituality, he proposed that a deep understanding of the history and functioning of the evolving universe is a necessary inspiration and guide for our own effective functioning as individuals and as a species.

The life and work of Thomas Berry was predicated on the conviction that human spiritual development is moved by the same universal laws as material development. The author Michael Colebrook describes two key elements in Thomas Berry’s thinking: “Firstly, the primary status of the universe. Secondly, the significance of the Universe Story’. The universe story is the quintessence of reality. We perceive the story. We put it in our language, the birds put it in theirs, we can read the story of the universe in the trees. Everything tells the story of the universe. The winds tell the story, literally, not just imaginatively. The story has its imprint everywhere, and that is why it is so important to know the story. If you do not know the story, in a sense you do not know yourself; you do not know anything.

Ecological Buddhism, Buddhist, Global Warming

Ecological Buddhism, Buddhist, Global Warming

Berry is considered a leader in the tradition of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin who abandoned literal interpretations of creation in the Book of Genesis in favor of allegorical and theological interpretations.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was a Jesuit priest and paleontologist who worked to understand evolution and faith. He was born May 1, 1881, and died on April 10, 1955. Teilhard fully participated in a life that included priesthood, living and working in the front lines of war, field work exploring the early origins of the human race and adventurous travels of discovery in the backlands of China. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin also participated fully in an intellectual life through the development of his imaginative, mystical writings on the evolutionary nature of the world and the cosmos.

His writings were rejected by ecclesiastical authorities. In his thinking and writing, Teilhard studied the intimate relationship between the evolutionary development of the material and the spiritual world, leading him to celebrate the sacredness of matter infused with the Divine presence.

I had written about some of Chardin’s quotes in a former blog https://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2013/06/05/eureka-p-i-e-r-r-e-t-e-i-l-h-a-r-d-de-c-h-a-r-d-i-n-spiritual-beings-having-a-human-experience/

Spiritual Beings having a Human Experience Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

As a tree-hugger and environmental activist who believes in the rights to life (not talking anti-abortion) of all of the inhabitants of creation and their habitats, this struck a chord with my own devotion to nature and spiritual ecology. It was such a eureka moment, that…I had to blog about it.

When I learned of this movement rumbling among some of the Sisters that is completely askew from the top-down creation story I wondered if this is being met with resistance from within the Vatican walls. I can’t imagine that it would not be turning the church with its entrenched belief systems, on their head.

Though introduced to Christianity and raised attending Lutheran church services during my upbringing, I can solidly say that I’m not a religious person. I am however very spiritual. huh? How can that be? Well, I feel the Buddhist mentality and hear the Native American beliefs; that the intelligence of the universe can be seen and felt EVERYWHERE. As Deepak Chopra and Oprah Winfrey are illuminating to the public currently through their online meditation workshop – the divine is within. It is reachable if you only shut up and listen. uh, Sorry, what I mean to say more politely is: if you tune out the fear, the ‘what if’s’ and tune in to the recognition that life is this incredible miracle that is all around us and within us and realize that there is an intelligence in our cells which keep our bodies functioning, and that you can find ‘divine guidance’ through seeing and recognizing this and trusting that this intelligence can and does also pour through you! You can find it in all sorts of synchronicities that guide you, if you simply listen. The incredible intelligence that is happening within our bodies, in the cooperation of trillions of cells, in the patterns of weather, in the movements of the planets, the formation of the earth, of life, of the cosmos and the coordination of everything happening at the cellular and sub-atomic levels IS PERFECTION. It is HEAVEN on EARTH and well, HELL is what mankind stirs up through somehow missing the point and disregarding the fact that Nature, in all that it manifests, IS the Supreme INTELLIGENCE that is inside your fingernail, in the clump of soil that you pick up with your fingers from the dirt. It’s about re cognizing and ap prehending that there’s a reason that science and technology has mimicked nature, it is because it’s already the perfect, inspirational and fabulous design.

Where has humanity gone wrong? Perhaps it’s somehow inseparable from those nasty 5 letter words that drive wedges between people and create antipathy and competition instead of empathy and cooperation

As Brian Swimme says in the conclusion of his video introducing the concept of the New Story “we need to ‘provide a pathway to a future of vibrant life” …. and my words ….. because if we naively follow the paths carved out by politicians who are tied in with bankers and corporations who are only looking towards carving out their short-term goals for making a profit through toxic industries that are destroying the earth and the habitat of humans and all other creatures, then we will surely continue blindly towards our own path of peril and destruction.

My Body is Contained Within the Limitlessness of My Soul | Jim Carrey Commencement Address

Every once in a while I post the exact same blog simultaneously on each of my sites. This is one of those times. It occurs when I come across something that I feel is so profound and important, that it must be shared.

It is this! Jim Carrey’s Commencement Address to the 2014 graduating class of Maharishi University (MUM).

Jim Carey’s Secret of Life The Journey of Purpose

Jim Carey’s Secret of Life The Journey of Purpose

I’m obviously big on the subject matter of Jim Carrey’s speeches, as I’d posted a blog referencing one this past summer. https://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2014/08/22/love-over-fear-jim-carrey-supermoon-hitchabout-lakota-sioux-secret-within/ Same-same, but different. I also recently wrote about a similar subject; matters of heart and choosing love over fear. https://digesthis.wordpress.com/2015/01/07/addendum-to-journey-in-space-time-ignited-by-matters-of-heart-epigenetics-heartmath/

Jim Carrey announces that he’s found his ministry in the Church of Freedom from Concern (FFC)

You can spend your whole life worrying about ghosts and about the path to the future.

So many of us choose our path out of fear, disguised as practicality. He mentions that his father could have been a great comedian, but he didn’t believe that it was possible for him. Instead, he took the conservative path and chose a safe job as an accountant. And ironically was sooner than later ‘let go’ by the firm. Point of the story:

You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance in doing what you love.

Carrey says I’m here to plant a seed, to help you move forward in life.

Will that seed be allowed to take root? Or will you be forced by Monsanto to use their seed? which causes knowing laughter to ripple through the audience.

Life doesn’t happen to you, it happens for you. Ask the universe for it!

sunset

sunset

He goes on to say, I used to believe that who I was, ended at the edge of my skin. Then I learned that everything outside the vehicle is part of me too! We have no limits…you can’t contain the container.

How can you serve the world?

Look at what the world needs, that your talent can provide.

The effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is.

Finding true peace lies beyond personality, beyond the perception of others, invention and disguise, beyond effort itself.

• To find real peace, you have to let the armor go.

• Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world.

• Don’t let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form!

• Risk being seen in all of your glory.

• The imagination is always manufacturing scenarios, both good and bad. The ego tries to keep you trapped in the multiplex of the mind.

• Our eyes are not merely viewers, they are also projectors, running a second story over the picture.

• Fear is writing the script; the working title “I’ll never be enough.”

• How tricky this ego is, with the promise of something, that we already possess!

• Let the universe know what you want, and work toward it, while letting go of how it comes about.

• Your job is not to figure out how it’s going to happen, but to open the door in your head. Then when the door appears in your life, just walk through it.

• Don’t worry if you miss your cue, there are always doors opening.

Take a chance on faith. Not religion, but faith. Not hope, but faith.
He says I don’t believe in hope. Hope is a beggar.

Hope walks through the fire and faith leaps over it.

Addendum to Journey in Space & Time Ignited by Matters of Heart | Epigenetics | HeartMath

John Lennon, fear, love

John Lennon: Fear and Love
“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love.

A few weeks ago, my attention was directed to an article talking about epigenetics. Scientific research reveals that in addition to genetic memory – recorded in the DNA and passed from one generation to the next – experiences of an emotional nature which take place within an individual’s life, can also become imprinted and routed to affect later generations. Not just the next generation, but subsequent offspring exhibit the same response to stimuli, not learned from parents. It appears that a person’s perceived positive or negative experiences affect subsequent generations; the offspring genetically inherit the fallout of that ancestor’s experience.

Though epigenetic information does not alter the genetic (DNA) code itself, it does modify the activation of certain genes. This occurs through chemical processes – such as methyl groups which attach to genes and reside beside and separate from the DNA code – hence the name epigenetic (Greek prefix pi meaning over, outer or above). “The methyl group works like a placeholder in a cookbook, attaching to the DNA within each cell to select only those recipes — i.e. genes — necessary for that particular cell’s proteins.”

Reading this instigated me to look back at a blog I’d written in January of 2010, regarding a hitchabout trip I took while living in Germany. https://digesthis.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/hitch-a-bout-ventures-a-journey-in-space-and-time/ During this journey, the themes of neurology and Native American spirituality recurred repeatedly. It compelled me to write about the experience and theorize about how synchronistic incidences can happen, at all. What is it about our brains in time and space, that could allow for events to take place simultaneously, at large distances? Our current definitions make it impossible.

I recalled the words within a video on this blog “The White Road – Visions of the Indigenous People of the Americas“. “The indigenous people are certain that not only is all past information of the universe stored in our bodies, but that we are constantly provided with new information from the Cosmos.”

I read further along the arduous path of my blog :-o) in which I described that our awareness consists of a simultaneous system of electrical connections, traveling back and forth from nerve endings to synapses firing in different regions of the brain. And that an ‘experience’ or ‘memory’ can not be localized in one specific region of the brain. Neuroplasticity theorizes that the brain is continually making new connections and building new neural networks. Various functions are not located in specific regions of the brain. In the process of formulating new thoughts or tasks, the brain creates convoluted neural networks spanning different lobes, encoded across different regions, depending on the different associations that are being built in the process.

This article by Larry Dossey, MD “Why Consciousness is Not the Brain” states “…if consciousness is indeed identical with the brain – the curtain closes on premonitions. The reason is that the brain is a local phenomenon – i.e., it is localized to the brain and body, and to the present. This prohibits premonitions in principle, because accordingly the brain cannot operate outside the body and the here-and-now. But consciousness can operate beyond the brain, body, and the present, as hundreds of experiments and millions of testimonials affirm. Consciousness cannot, therefore, be identical with the brain.”

I made the analogy that just as thinking is a continuous feedback process within the whole (throughout the body and mind, together with all of the ideas that have intercepted our awareness) that perhaps consciousness itself, is not something localized in one area (the brain), but an integral part of a larger neural connected energetic fabric of all life.

Okay, I said it. But check this out. I interpreted what I read about epigenetics to imply, if I may be so bold, that it is more the emotional nature of an experience that specifically influences a chemical concoction to affect the way the genetic code plays out. Nurture affecting Nature.

Human Heart

Human Heart

In light of this, an additional article rolled into my awareness, “The Effects of Negative Emotions on Our HealthVoila! The author articulates that “Humans experience an array of emotions, anything from happiness to sadness, to extreme joy or depression. Each of these emotional states create different feelings within the body, with our body releasing different chemicals in conjunction with these feelings. Each chemical produces a different environment within the body. The brain releases serotonin, dopamine or oxytocin in association with experiences that elicit happiness and joy and cortisol, for example, in association with stress. The author’s point is that with respect to the mind-body connection, the brain is a very powerful tool indeed, that basically interprets and judges situations to be positive or negative and that your mind can have a profound physical impact on your body. Careful what you think !-) But more than that, careful about how you emotionally respond to any given situation!

Essentially, the plethora of psychologists, therapists, yoga teachers and spiritual guides all have this insight in common: focus on appreciation and gratitude and contentment in the present moment, rather than focusing on what you fear

Mahatma Gandhi, man is product of his thoughts

A man is but the product of his thoughts, what he thinks, he becomes. Mahatma Gandhi

…Our emotions and experiences are essentially energy that is communicated through chemical and electrical processes, which is stored in the cellular memory of our bodies.

This ‘re minded’ me of the beliefs … “The indigenous people are certain that not only is all past information of the universe stored in our bodies, but that we are constantly provided with new information from the Cosmos.”

Eureka dude! As I was preparing to fuse together this information in an amendment to my earlier blog, https://digesthis.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/hitch-a-bout-ventures-a-journey-in-space-and-time/ these additional puzzle pieces synchronistically kept tumbling in, to fuse and ignite this new insight.

Institute of HeartMath connecting hearts and minds

Doc Childre is the founder of The institute of HeartMath. It’s a measured fact that the strength of the magnetic field projected by the heart is much stronger than that of the brain. This field can expand or contract, correspondingly with love or fear. The heart has a large number of neurons. It’s an intelligent muscle.

Human Heart's Magnetic Field expands and contracts

Human Heart’s Magnetic Field expands and contracts

Their emphasis is on learning how to activate and sustain a coherence between the heart and brain. This synergy or coherence can be achieved through entraining the breath and attention to the heart, allowing a person to hone in to the heart’s intuitive intelligence. This can expand to entrain one’s heart to others, to achieve a social coherence. “A collective opening of the heart increases the social and subsequently global coherence.” The group has initiated a global coherence monitoring system in which they’re performing a study with 17 magnetic sensors distributed throughout the planet. These large devices are measuring resonances.

Childre mentions that a feedback loop exists within an individual’s mind – body and between humans and all species and the earth’s energetic systems.

The theory is that not only does earth’s magnetic field affects humans, but humans as a collective, affect the earth’s field.

Doc Childre, HeartMath

Doc Childre HeartMath

In this article “7 Amazing facts about the heart’s control of the brain” Dr. Joel K. Kahn describes how the heart communicates to the brain and the body in four ways: 1) nervous system connections, 2) hormones produced in the heart itself, 3) biomechanical information via blood pressure waves, and 4) energetic information from the strong electrical and electromagnetic fields.

Assembling the points I’ve gathered, I conjecture: as below, so above. DNA strands within each cell contain all of the genetic information of the entire body (with some genes activated and others not depending on that particular cell). This reveals a sort of holographic principle, similar to what some physicists theorize about how the universe is structured as well as neurologists regarding how the brain maps information.

The holonomic brain theory, developed by neuroscientist Karl Pribram initially in collaboration with physicist David Bohm, is a model of human cognition that describes the brain as a holographic storage network.

A holographic paradigm in which all information is present in each part (everywhere – at all times) would explain intuition, precognition, psychic awareness, simultaneous scientific discoveries and so forth.

Jeremy Narby is a French Canadian Anthropologist who lived among Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. He wrote a non-fiction book about his research: The Cosmic Serpent: DNA and the Origins of Knowledge He discovered ancient symbols depicting the mythology of the Indigenous people he lived among replicating the fundamental structure of life itself, the spiraling deoxyribonucleic acid DNA; something scientists of the developed world have only begun to discern in the last half century. His later book, Intelligence in Nature: An Inquiry into Knowledge demonstrates his conclusions. Intelligence is not a hierarchical model in which humans are on the top. This link above reviewing Narby’s book: “Narby’s passion is to rethink the meaning of intelligence as a human property and give up the reductionist/materialist view of Western science. In its place, he adopts the Japanese word “chi-sei”, roughly defined as a knowingness that allows for decision-making at all levels of life.”

He points out in a speech given at a Bioneers conference in 2005 that Homo Sapiens have been around only 200,000 years – 10,000 biological generations – which for a species is next to nothing. The Jaguar and Octopus species have been around way longer than humans; the Octopus for 350,000 Million years!

Numerous studies demonstrate intelligence and abstract thinking throughout not only the animal kingdom, but also among insects and yes, even plants. Molecular genetics of the 1990’s reveal that plants have receptors. Plants can assimilate information and respond on the whole plant level, using electrical signals that involve sensing a wide range of variables and computing complex decisions.

In his book The Cosmic Serpent, Narby takes a serious look at how neurogenetic consciousness informs awareness, knowledge, symbolism and culture. His anthropological study, ayahuasca experience and scientific speculations weave a tale of shamans who bring their consciousness down to molecular levels with sophisticated neurotransmitter potions in order to perceive information contained in the coherent visible light emitted by DNA.

He notes an ayahuasquero Pablo Amaringo saying: “A plant may not talk, but there is a spirit in it that is conscious, that sees everything, which is the soul of the plant, its essence, what makes it alive.”

In their visions, shamans take their consciousness down to the molecular level and gain access to information related to DNA, which they call “animate essences” or “spirits.”

Intelligent design within.

DNA molecule, Narby, Cosmic Serpent

diagram of the DNA molecule in Narby’s the Cosmic Serpent

Each DNA molecule has been packaged into a Mitotic Chromosome that is 50,000 X shorter than its extended length.

Science is now affirming a view long held by Shamans of the indigenous people: that the entire edifice of life from top to bottom is ‘shot through with intelligence’. In fact the evolutionary process itself may be intelligent.

Evolution may be guided by an intelligence within, as opposed to blind chance or an intelligence from above.

Back full circle to the fact that many living systems are structured in the Fibonacci Sequence as I wrote about in an alternative blog https://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2011/04/14/holograms-of-meaning-consciousness-frequency-shift/, my theory is that this is the form which allows for the holographic pattern of information to be distributed.

mathematical, Fibonacci Sequence

Mathematical diagram of Fibonacci Sequence class of Toni

Perhaps indeed, the pinnacle of intelligence is within the smallest constituents; the motion of energy that manifests as matter.

The HeartMath understanding is that entraining the heart with the brain and with other individuals is a synergistic process, in which the individual parts work together to produce an effect larger than the sum of the parts. Perhaps the import of emotions and the intuitive intelligence of the heart is something that essentially is an energetic phenomenon at the electromagnet level; with this electromagnetic information tuned to a feeling vibration of the heart that permeates the universe through a network of Fibonacci spacetime, in a holographic way; passing through spacetime instantly.

graphic of a wormhole

graphic of a wormhole describing a spacial fabric of space

Narby states that “Our predation (human beings as the top predator) is ‘souped up’ through knowledge, ideas and technology. Yet, we need to understand that we are animals among other intelligent species. We truly need to get a grip on our sciences and industries. Intelligent predators do not degrade the world in which they live, but live in harmony with it.

¡This would represent intelligent evolution!

HeartMath and the Global Coherence Initiative state that ultimately, ‘heart-based living’, involves taking responsibility for your own energy; the thoughts, feelings and attitudes that you are feeding into the field every day.

…energy flows where attention goes…

Cosmos, Quantum

Amplifying the Cosmos and Quantum World

Our consciousness can’t be confined and defined by our limited awareness through our senses. The exigency of human beings today is to pierce beyond the senses into the vastness of divine consciousness and creativity; through yoga, meditation and stepping beyond the cult of individualism. We need to get away from dead monotheistic religions and extend into a paganistic spiritual awareness, seeing all life as divine. We are all inextricably connected to each other and to our environment, which we must serve and protect and celebrate in a collective embrace. The ‘self’ is an ephemeral illusion.

Einstein, Optical Delusion

Einstein Seeing Ourselves as Separate is an Optical Delusion of Consciousness

We need to extricate ourselves from this lower vibration inculcated by the corporate elite, woven into our materialistic focus; preying upon and augmenting the negative human traits that divide people so that we remain fearful, defensive and competitive. We can spring from this narrative by creating our own, working together to redefine our priorities and how we wish to evolve as human beings.

Divine Within, Divine Intelligence

Divine Intelligence seeks expression of free-will with Consciousness, Conscientiousness and Respect for Self and All within a context of Understanding, Empathy and Compassion

Divine Intelligence seeks expression of free-will through consciousness, conscientiousness and respect for the self and all; within the context of understanding, empathy and compassion.

As each individual reaches inside to follow one’s own divine path, one feels the connection to everything. It becomes clear that we are all One. Kindness to others and an appreciation and respect for all living creatures as they make their way on their own momentary path through life, is what generates happiness. It makes us feel good. Acknowledging the presence of God as an intelligence within the quanta of matter and infinitesimal fabric of energy in between, is accessible to each of us. Love, is our divine right. ~ Russell Brand’s words, in a nutshell.

Eureka ! P i e r r e T e i l h a r d de C h a r d i n | spiritual beings having a human experience |

Having spoken to an acquaintance about the direction of my eBook, I was just re-acquainted with Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a French philosopher and Jesuit priest who trained as a paleontologist and geologist and took part in the discovery of Peking Man and Piltdown Man. His primary book, “The Phenomenon of Man” is a sweeping account of the unfolding of the cosmos. The book displeased Church superiors and some of his work was denied publication during his lifetime.

Here are some of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin’s quotes, which I find remarkable:

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire.

The universe as we know it is a joint product of the observer and the observed.

It is our duty as men and women to proceed as though the limits of our abilities do not exist.

Driven by the forces of love, the fragments of the world seek each other so that the world may come into being.

Love is the affinity which links and draws together the elements of the world…Love, in fact, is the agent of universal synthesis.

In the final analysis, the questions of why bad things happen to good people transmutes itself into some very different questions, no longer asking why something happened, but asking how we will respond, what we intend to do now that it happened.

Final metamorphosis of the ‘eBook Trailer’ for “Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”

In fact, it is continually being revised! Here’s the sneak preview of my eBook, of which the best prospective readers are more than likely the cyber charter – online schools – and home-schooling groups!

“Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”

I’d say it has reached its final metamorphosis! Basically, other facets of ‘life’ got in the way !-))

Announcement of my soon to be released eBook

I intend to release my first book around the summer solstice, June 21st.

“Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion”

Due to having not a ‘low’, but ‘no’ budget ‘-) I’ll produce an eBook prior to the first print edition. Besides writing, illustrating and composing music for the digital version, I’m publishing and marketing it too; using iBook Author, Smashwords as well as (kdp) Kindle of Amazon, so that it can be read on whatever platform or device the reader prefers. I’ll also do a voice-over for an audio-book version. The print will be POD ‘print on demand’ for starters. It’s all new terrain and the whole process is a learning experience, about which I’ll be happy to share any information!

Below is an ‘inside/back cover’ summary about what the book entails! I’m open to any suggestions, yet particularly I’d love to hear about any venues (book stores/cafes in your area) which you recommend for me to contact to set up ‘readings’. Once I schedule dates at various locations, I’ll map out a tour. I’m always up for traveling and talking with people! From early on, I anticipated creating versions in French, Spanish and German, especially on the digital platform. This would give the reader the option to read the same content in another language as a learning tool. I’m conversant in these and love learning languages. Since I’m not fluent, I’ll naturally need editors who are native speakers. rain_shadow_blk_wh

“Adora & Vitali: A Spin on the Matter of Motion” is a spiritual quest imbued with scientific concepts. It is woven throughout with parcels of information relevant to the phenomena that emerge in the story itself. It is specifically designed to inspire curiosity and evoke within the reader the desire to learn more about the fascinating nature of our universe.

A children’s book for adults or classroom textbook embedded within a tale, it has approximately 80 illustrations throughout (black & white as well as color): from scientific diagrams and charts to character and fantasy images. Interwoven throughout are about 120 (and counting) active links; a ‘live’ bibliography that not only substantiates the facts but gives the reader a means to explore in more depth each of the subjects covered.

The tale involves a young woman named Adora, who after learning of a place which enchants her because of its mysterious qualities, decides to journey there. The place not only has almost no gravity, which is extraordinary in itself, but the people residing there have exceptional qualities of mind and spirt. None are capable of lying – they are sentient beings able to telepathically read each others’ minds. A utopian, transparent world, where only truth and honesty exist; in which intentions are transmitted through love. To reach her destination, she is instructed to follow the magnetic lines. The book is a journey to this place with its supernatural characteristics, distilled with information revealing how this theoretically ‘could’ occur. For example, successive natural phenomena were triggered as a result of accelerated global warming.

Besides reading the book sequentially, it is designed as a reference tool in which one can jump from one topic to another; each covered on its unique page. The book is geared for curious readers from adolescent on; for students, science or science fantasy enthusiasts, or those curious about spirituality and consciousness. Generally, those intrigued with adventures into the unknown. Besides being a tale infused with symbolism and mystery (“Adora” means “love” and “Vitali” means “life”), it is a multimedia ‘expeditionary learning platform’, which peers into the phenomena of nature from the microscopic world of subatomic physics to the cosmic, including a smorgasbord of other topics from biology, to geology, chemistry and more, displaying how extraordinary ‘our’ world is. As the title suggests, among other phenomena in the natural world, the book strives to build an appreciation and understanding of the integral role that electromagnetism plays in all of life as well as the communication of love.

Connecting with Oneself & Others | Healing with the Heart | IAM heart |

It appeared to be by chance that I became aware of this, yet I believe that ‘there are no accidents’.

Frankly, I’m typically such a high energy person that it’s difficult to sit down to meditate. ahh, yet this group meditation which I attended last evening with a guide who introduces the technique and facilitates learning about it, certainly reveals the benefit of getting out of one’s head and stepping into one’s conscious awareness of heart and body wholeness.

IAM stands for Institute of Applied Meditation IAM heart logo

They wish to assist in a global shift from mind to heart, by the most direct method there is: meditation on the physical heart so as to control its rhythm.

Whereas http://www.heartmath.org is a separate nonprofit educational organization which has conducted studies for two decades on heart intelligence and the health benefits of stress management, http://www.iamheart.org takes this beyond the physical, to the emotional, social and spiritual benefits of tuning one’s meditative breathing towards one’s heart.

IAM is training a cadre of meditators to develop the ability to send Waves of Peace as measurable, magnetic heart waves in entrainment: Global Interventions using Heart Rhythm Meditation

Our Mission
“IAM heart” develops and applies Heart Rhythm Meditation
to integrate physical, emotional and spiritual life
to create love, harmony and beauty
to awaken the consciousness of humanity
to the divinity of each human being.

| HaPPYness | Making the Best of What you Have |

Without doubt, a person may feel comfort, satisfaction and security through the material things they nestle around themselves; or delight in beholding beauty. But, these feelings aren’t happiness. And unequivocally, nothing is more precious than health. You may be able to drape yourself with jewels or own an array of the finest gadgets to play with, but if you are not at your best, mentally and physically, there’s no comparison. When you are healthy and fit, with an abundance of energy, strength and endurance, you more likely have the emotional strength to conquer just about anything. Once this is marred, a person may have to struggle to balance all other aspects of their existence. Yet, a person’s physical state of being doesn’t deliver happiness. There are those with excellent health who don’t realize the value of this treasure, until something goes wrong. A little discomfort or injury can quickly draw one’s attention to it, zapping energy and concentration. And there are others who have been afflicted with tremendous physical impairments, who yet move through their hurdles, to enjoy their lives. I think of my friend’s brother, who was paralyzed from the waste down in a ski accident. Less than 10 years later, he drives a van, chauffeuring people to the local ski area, goes skiing himself all day on specially made skis built to accommodate people who otherwise ride in wheel chairs, and then drives home, transporting other people, in a vehicle custom made in which the hands operate all of the controls. There are many other examples of people who survive and thrive. Certainly, none of these people are letting their disabilities devour their spirits. This is where the concept of ‘happiness’ comes in. Happiness has much more to do with our perception of a situation, than the situation itself.

In the Western world, we share in this culture of illusion. There’s a rift in the messages; coming from opposing worlds. One-upping your neighbor is a message delivered clearly from the perspective of advertisers in the commercial world. It’s all about what “I” can do, groomed through competition. And the old-world, pre-capitalistic point of view is coated with a spiritual identification with the “we” and ‘the brotherhood of man’. These religiously-dressed, pious messages are about ‘doing what is best for all’ and ‘giving back to society’. Yet, there’s a soaring gap between the ideal of ‘love thy neighbor’ and the road-rage resentment of what your neighbor ‘has’. These are confusing messages for anyone to decipher; ego driven vs. losing one’s ego. Is the ideal of joy to be derived through sharing and cooperation, or through the pride and gain in competition? It’s a bit schizophrenic.

Maybe happiness isn’t so complicated, as mentioned in one of my earlier blogs on the subject. According to the giggling guru and his ‘laughter yoga’, the process of smiling and laughing can in itself, actually affect the body; and fool a person into feeling better! https://digesthis.wordpress.com/category/happiness-2/ Through my process, I’ve learned that happiness, like many things, is not something a person is born with, but an attitude. It’s a point of view, which can be practiced and rehearsed. Like the option of, “looking at the glass as half full or half empty”. It’s a choice, you decide! We can all make the conscious commitment to think and act in ways that will boost our own feeling of well being. And since human beings as Homosapiens in the animal kingdom tend to be creatures of habit, we can learn new ways of perceiving things and reshape the ways that our brains process information, by rehearsing new ways of interpreting things.

The point is, we can all flow forward to a healthier and more balanced place through making the right choices and listening to messages that can pop up everywhere to guide us, if you’re open and willing to move in the direction of understanding and growth. I’ll be mentioning this process, synchrodestiny in my other blog on http://carolkeiter.wordpress.com/2012/04/10/synchronicity-experiences-within-delight-of-deepak-chopras-seven-principles-of-synchrodestiny/ coming shortly.

I therefore can say from experience, happiness will NOT arrive if you remain in a job or relationship – with a boss, among colleagues, a partner, spouse, friends – if the repeated message from the other is negative and clearly in no way resonates with your own sense of what you know is right, supportive, in line with your understanding of events, awareness and sensibility. Listen to your own voice; trust your intuition, understanding and perceptions of what you know is true. Leave any situation, in which another person is not able or willing to recognize how they participate in the situation or acknowledge what they do. Don’t hang out with people who are not willing to take responsibility for their own behavior and who are not accountable for their actions. Don’t play with them, don’t have them as friends, don’t work for them and don’t vote for them!! 😉 Easier said than done!

Ultimately, happiness may be pretty simple. One aspect of it is to really make a point of appreciating the many things around you that are quite simple joys. Really, many of the things that we all worry about or get annoyed with, are quite relative. Having a broader grasp of the world, and of the hardships that many people suffer, is another thing. But to realize that life is so precious, and the fact that we are living creatures hurling around in space on a spinning ball with all sorts of fantastic life forms and creatures and beauty surrounding us, is really quite miraculous. There are so many very simple things to be dazzled with; whether involving the joy of motion, learning about something, listening to sound or observing light or life forms. Many of our perceived notions of not having some material thing, are way out of proportion. I personally find that a great deal of satisfaction and joy comes from the delight of observing little things, and from accomplishing little things. Learning a new task, practicing it and developing it, can be very satisfying. You will be surprised at the amount of delight and pride you will feel as you begin to see your own headway.

In fact, that’s the other half of my prescription 😉 the fact that happiness is not passive; not derived through being passively entertained or distracting yourself with something, but actually through engaging your mind and body in something that you are doing. It is in the process of this motion, as opposed to static, that causes the neurons of engaged interaction to start firing. Delight through immersion in the process, instead of the outcome. It is also through interacting with another person; in which their smile in response to yours, makes the experience that much more special. It’s in the process of actively participating in something intellectually, physically, emotionally or spiritually challenging, which renders the result that much more sweet.

What spawned me to write about this topic in the first place, was an article about how much dogs can influence people with joy and incite happy feelings. Dogs effectively cause people to calm down, feel more content and in fact feel happier. http://www.usaweekend.com/article/20120120/HOME05/301200007/How-dogs-spread-happiness Hanging out with dogs can trigger oxytocins, a mammalian hormone which is a neuromodulator in the brain. Oxytocin in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxytocin is referred to as the ‘love hormone’… “the inability to secrete oxytocin and feel empathy is linked to sociopathy, psychopathy, narcissism and general manipulativeness”. This chemical substance is released in our brains as we relate to dogs. Dogs raise peoples’ spirits. In the last years, there’s been a lot of talk and publicity about how the presence of dogs lower stress levels and induce faster rates of recovery for chronically ill patients of all ages. Basically, dogs lower blood pressure, are great companions, and because of the joy of their company, actually can induce healing and assuage discomfort. The wag of the tail is connected to a dog’s heart, and indirectly to peoples’ hearts – since it’s joy that is felt when people are engaging with dogs. Not to mention, people walking their dogs tend to interact more and engage with other people, thus eliciting more contact – a win-win!

Ironically, I found this little piece of paper on the desk in my mother’s hand writing, with a quote she’d copied long before I decided to write about this subject, “The happiest people do not have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything they have.” A friend recently posted an article from the Guardian which inspired him, “the Top Five Regrets of the Dying”. http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2012/feb/01/top-five-regrets-of-the-dying?fb=native&CMP=FBCNETTXT9038
# 5 is: I wish that I had let myself be happier; in which they write: “This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realize until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called ‘comfort’ of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to themselves, that they were content, when deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.”

“We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.” – Carlos Castaňeda

With love and joy to you all and hope that I’ve inspired some happiness!
