I rode to the Hambuger Bahnhof open air free dj series Berlin Beats, the 3rd in their summer series. Open air in the courtyard of this magnificent former train station, and recognized the dj, Métaraphs from another free event several weeks ago.
Full on character, elegant, stylish, orchestrated hand movements as he turned nobs with bracelets, many rings and ferociously long fingernails, black cat eye extreme makeup, shaved head, back of his head fully tattooed, mingling in vogue ish dancing in between, smiling.

Métaraphs musikalische Reisen zeugen von einem multidisziplinären Verständnis, der Rave mit konzeptuellem Anspruch verbindet / Métaraph’s musical journeys testify to a multidisciplinary understanding that combines rave with conceptual aspirations
Métaraph is a non binary multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin.
Everyone of all ages dancing and getting into the 3 hour outdoor set in the courtyard as dusk arrived at the end, 22:00. I had a huge smile, dancing the entire time, embraced by the dj’s movements and hypnotized by the techno, looking at the extremely diverse crowd. A number of other male, elegant, tall beautiful guys, more feminine than I. And on my way home rode by the river to encounter outdoor tango, with dozens of couples dancing quite well, some quite elegantly dressed. Berlin rocks, particularly in the summer.
So, I was earlier reflecting on the positives of Berlin; the great bicycle and public transportation infrastructure, the dozen or so large p wonderful lakes easy to access, the many arts and music events…..and then the negative, the seemingly aloof, never look you in the eye Germans. However, the city is full of freaks (like me), so i guess city peeps want to protect themselves from what they may encounter…..And then, after dealing with the full neck and body tattooed, amphetamine fueled aggressive bicycle shop mechanic…pumping up the tire to go to another bike shop with another angry bike mechanic….it turned out that the circumstances of the universe just wanted me to slow down. Because the flat from yesterday, never got flat again.
